I have seen male classical singers earlier too, and regular singers without classical knowledge sing . Javelin Ali out beats all of the present .He has good knowledge in Classical , and Bollywood must utilize his talents for Classical Gharana , Sufi and variety of songs . He is a pleasure to watch .Any other singer male or female singing with him are easily out beaten and don’t stand a chance

The great Muhammad Rafi Saab was the synonym of soft, soothing, and soulful music ! Whereas, the great Mehdi Hassan Saab was a singer par excellence and was in a class all by himself ! He had given Ghazal Gayiki a pedestal which will be difficult to surpass ! The great Jagjit Singh Saab was instrumental in popularising ghazal gayiki in the length and breadth of the country ! He had modernized the ghazal gayiki by making it intelligible to the common man ! Recreation of epoch-making masterpieces of these stalwarts by Javed Ali Saab can be construed as a noble endeavour and as such, it deserves appreciation !
