young women/sagheera means someone who is younger than 15 and didn’t reach puberty/buloogh. you guys deceive people by not defining the words used in our texts. the tafaasir use the word “sagheera” which is translated in english as the young. in Islamic jurisprudence this word is used to describe the women who are younger than 15 and didn’t have their buloogh/puberty. the evidence for this is the following hadith: Sunan an-Nasa'i 3221 Narrated 'Abdullah bin Buraidah: It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Buraidah that his father said: "Abu Bakr and 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with them, proposed marriage to Fatimah but the Messenger of Allah said: 'She is young/sagheera.' Then 'Ali proposed marriage to her and he married her to him." so you can’t prove with this verse that intercourse with a child (which we define as a person who is not aware (idraak) of what intercourse is, and neither can bear (taaqah) it) is permitted in Islaam. this is said by Imaan Maalik ra. the other 2 schools of jurisprudence (namely the Hanafiyya and Hanbaliyya) say that there’s a minimum age (which changes per place and time). this age is determined through looking at when a person can be regarded as an adult/imra2h. 3Aisha ra said that when a young girl reaches 9 years old, she is an adult/imra2h. this is narrated and used by many scholars like al-Bayhaqii rh and Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal ra. lastly, Imam al-shaaf3ii says that when the puberty/buloogh is close and if she can physically bear it. if this isn’t the case, her family should not give her to him. all 4 schools of jurisprudence agreed that it is not permissible to harm her in any shape or form. so saying that Islaam allows intercourse with a child is a dishonest approach to our religious texts. I also want to add that the strong opinion is that you can’t even marry a woman before her buloogh/puberty (the marriage of our Prophet ﷺ is exclusive to him and 3Aisha ra because there is no man like him and there’s no woman like her). the evidence is the following hadith: Aisha reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, should women be asked for their consent before marriage?” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Yes.” I said, “Indeed, sometimes a virgin is too shy to speak when asked.” The Prophet said, “Her silence is her consent.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6946, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1420 a woman who hasn’t reached puberty, can’t give permission, so she can only marry after her puberty/buloogh. this is the opinion of Shyakhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyya and Ibn Uthaymin rh.
