My father grew up country style. He had his family in the city. He could never understand why I didn’t embrace hunting, and eating off of the land. I could never understand why he didn’t realize why growing up in the city, I wasn’t for that life. His brother raised his family in the country, and my cousins were about that life. I’m sure my father wished I was like my cousins, but he chose to chase employment in the city. Sadly, It definitely drove a wedge between him and I, that has lasted my 60+ years. I enjoy watching your videos, but don’t regret not living your lifestyle. I do regret my father not accepting that.

Yeah, those briars will get you every time😫! I bought a briar proof jacket and chaps in 2023, and haven't had any problems with briars, since. Good hunting... country style!

This brings back so many memories. I live in Kentucky, growing up my grandfather kept beagle hounds. I think I was 4 years old first rabbit hunt I tagged along for. Great memories, most of the guys I rabbit hunted with have passed away. But I was lucky to know them and thankful to have the memories. Bowhunting pretty much takes up my time now. I enjoy it a lot and keep my freezer full. But I do miss the dogs and the enjoyment of hunting with a group of good people.

Those dogs got that hunting in their blood, the rabbits got the camouflage and the instincts, and man and the dogs make a perfect team, rabbits provide food for man, and men work the land and the land provides food and cover for the rabbits and everything just flows and works together and the beautiful blue sky and fresh country air and the sunset...you can't tell me all this is just one big accident from some big bang for no reason and no purpose.
