Rabbit Watering System - Part 2 - Mission Success - The BEST Rabbit Watering System Idea EVER

This isn't clickbait, I really think this is the BEST and EASIEST watering system idea for rabbits or any other small animals that you might keep in a small contained area. It's easy to set up, once you have the right parts, and after that, it is very low maintenance. The most expensive part of the build was the tank itself, but it is considered a "specialty" item. The rest of it, I already had on hand because of previous build attempts. A listing of the parts that I used in the build:
35 Gallon Leg Tank (Main Reservoir) (Got mine from Rural King) (Probably can get from any farm supply)
1" Threaded Outside x Slip Fit Inside Male Adaptor (Goes inside the drain bung of tank to attach to PVC)
1" to 3/4" Slip Fit Bushing (Goes inside the 1" adapter)
3/4" Schedule 40 PVC (as needed for supply and distribution)
3/4" Elbows (as needed)
3/4" Tees (as needed)
3/4" x 1/2" Tees (as needed for supply to individual cages)
3/4" slip fit coupling x Female water hose (only if you are going to use a water hose to fill the tank)
3/4" Couplings (as needed)
1/2" Thread x 1/4" Barb OR 1/2" Threaded x 3/8" OD Sharkbite (as needed) (goes inside 1/2" tees)
1/4" ID 3/8" OD Vinyl Tubing (as needed to connect from barbs or sharkbite to cages)
A/C Duct Strapping (for support of the PVC pipe as needed)

This thing is very useful specifically for small animals i could hear birds on background, my brother love doing stuff like DIYs so i think this would be a good video and ideas for him to start since he also have some animals on the farm this would be great.

This ended up working so much better than I thought it would originally. If he does, tell him to make sure he uses a good storage container. That took the longest for me to figure out and what messed me up so many times.

Welcome brother. I'm going to get rabbits soon. I can't have chickens anymore. I have a chicken tractor so they can get lots of grass to eat. I will probably just get two and learn from there. I like what you are doing and I can learn a lot from you. Thanks for being awesome. Once I get to the country I want chickens, rabbits and goats. I have two solar brothers in southern Ohio that want me to set up my little farm down there. I would get double the solar power down there. I will put you in a tab so I can learn about your rabbits. Thank you very much. I have some family up around there, just across the river actually. The watering system I have right now is the best thing going. I hate that I wasn't able to find anything commercially available, but at least doing it this way, it was completely customizable. It is almost zero upkeep now. I just walk out in the mornings and feed them and turn on the water to the tank for about 20 seconds to fill it all the way back up, but I could probably go a week without having to put a drop in there. I want to put together some tractors so that I can let the rabbits eat on the grass and save me a few dollars on feed, plus let them get a little more exercise. I just started with a trio, 2 does and 1 buck. I had 1 of the does die unexpectedly, so that was kind of a step backwards. But, we are up to 12 now and they are all doing great. I feel like that if I can do it, anyone can. If you have any questions, I'd love to help. My family really loves having them around. Thank you.

You know what they say about necessity being the mother of all invention...I was having a really tough time keeping up with the water demands and didn't want the rabbits to have any difficulties in out great southern heat, so this seemed like the easiest way to fix it. Actually all I really did was put some foam pipe insulation on the PVC. I'm in the southeast U.S., so we don't really get many hard freezes here. What region are you in? Maybe I can give you some ideas if I know more about what you're up against. Thanks for watching.
