Rob, I had a '69 that looked just like that one. Black Convertible top over Red. Loved that car. While parked on UGA campus one night some ahole slit the top to gain entry to steal things inside. Police never caught the bastards. Probably a good thing because I would have found out who they were and took matters into MY OWN HANDS!! Then I would have been in JAIL !

Meth has decimated many small towns in the south. Sad really to see the lost souls but it is what it is in the modern world. Having grown up on a town almost like Rob describes I could picture it all. Hanging out in a parking lot on a tailgate, drinking, and meeting new people - you just described my teenage years.

A friend of mine stayed in one of those hotels, one of those hotels where they offer 1 hour rentals, so you know it's bad (think it was an oilfield town, he was riding through there to get to a Motorcycle club ride and needed a few hours kip.) And this particular hotel's main line of business was these 1 hour stays, so the room service wasnt high priority. and this guy went around all the corridors and found all the newspapers and laid them across the top of a mattress like an insulating barrier lol .. and in the morning he got up and just left the place like it was..
