When we Jews make a categorical statement of which we are convinced, we are not making an accurate report on what exists de facto or in and of itself. We are not gentiles for whom the Creation is given. When we make statements, we are giving the Creation a Directive and it will surely respond to the Directive. When we know that we Jews have been given this power, we know what real yirat shamayim is. It is then that we really think before we make sweeping statements. Are you quite sure you want to give the Creation a directive like "life is difficult"???
