Hello again! Just dropping another quick tip from the Raber's shop; This week we cover a topic that occurs all too frequently with customers and our used parts alike as we discover the damage left from having used the incorrect size axle for vintage Triumph 500 & 650 models. Enjoy!

Bought a 64 TR6 with a TLS converted front hub. The axle is about 1/4 an inch too short. Previous owner made it work and forced in the bolts even though the grooves in the axle doesn't line up. Didn't realize it until I took the wheel off and struggled a bit to put it back on. I'm going to try to get the correct axle in there. It appears to be 7 inches, which is correct for the bike. There's a 7 1/4 inch version that seems like it would be the correct axle as far as lining up the grooves.
