What a fun family video. Those kits are so cute and frisky as can be. I guess dad just cruises on to the next port of call and moms do all the work rearing young? I had no idea they stayed so close to mom for such a long stretch.

So glad you enjoyed watching mama with her little ones. Yes, dad isn’t allowed near little ones. There’s always the fear that he might hurt them if the instinct for him to mate with mama takes over. 😅 Mama is so protective and would never let that happen. Yes, I always find it so interesting to know how long young stay with their parents. It always seems that the longer they have that connection the better it is for them once they are on their own. Your animal videos each tell a unique story about these families. After two weeks of political drama, it felt natural and organic to be watching my animal channels again. Mom has her hands full with those little jumping beans! I suppose like any mom, she's happy to get the kids off to bed after a long day of shenanigans. She looks like a good mom. The babies are a hand full but cute as can be. You must have a hard time keeping a steady hand while filming, trying not to laugh and giggle. I know I would. She sure does have her hands full with these bouncy babies! 😁 I always get the sense that raccoon moms really enjoy their kits even with all the work of protecting them. Many times I see them playing together. I think cuddle time is good for both mom and her little ones, too. I’m guessing that making sure they’re all fed is the most difficult part of mama’s job, especially as her little ones grow and need more nourishment. I’m so glad you enjoyed the video.
