Thanks for the video! I have some tips and tricks that will make the Bandit Climber work even better for ya! The main tip would be the placement of the prussic knot and the height of the main line of the climber in relation to your tether. Basically, the prussic is more for adjusting to the width of the tree, not really the height of the individual. The base of the bandit climber should be as close to the main line as possible. Having the prussic knot close to the tree, allows the gap between your Bandit Climber and your tree tether to be pretty significant, which makes you gain a lot of elevation with every rep you make, without having to bend your body or strain that much. With the prussic knot how you had it, you were having to work really hard to get just a tiny bit of elevation with each rep - but if the prussic knot was set to the tree, and the main line was lower in relation to your tether, the elevation you would have gotten with about half the effort would probably have been more than double. The bandit climber’s main loop and your tether shouldn’t ever really be close to each other!

I just got one and tried it out. I wouldn't use it as a platform because you can't rotate around the tree for a shot. It would be fine if you had one lane for a shot and nothing else. I was really hoping you could tho, one less thing to pack in lol

@@Cthrugh a tree limb would be similar to a one stick. Hang from your saddle, detach it from the tree and move above limb then keep on climbing. I personally would look for straight limbless trees though. Thanks for watching!

You can do that easier, faster, and without slack (safer) with the S.M.A.R.T. Climbing Method. It pairs well with any and all tree climbing styles. I promise you.

@@NatureRN2586This is The Revive Outdoors channel. I would like for them to show you. But it is simple setting a climbing line up ahead of you, with a "PAIR of Rope Pushers" (S.ticks), on the trunk of the tree. But before we send it up, we had a (M.echanical A.dvantage) to the (R.ope). For a 3 to 1 preset (T.echnique). So, stay tuned and we'll see If they give it a try.
