That pointed part of the cross frame has a zillion uses ! Get you some old trapping books ( 100 yrs or older ) and you will see a bunch of ways to use it , and it all boils down to being able to place a trap anywhere !

Good video. I've gotten away from foot holds on trails and went to snares. My experience has been that snares on trails out catch foot holds nearly 3 to 1. They're also faster to set and easier to carry. I can easily carry 2 dozen snares and have them set over a longer distance in a shorter amount of time without carrying anything else but the snares. I've really just discovered how great snares are after a couple seasons of putting them in and comparing the catch rates to foot holds.

100% get what ur saying buddy. I’ve gotten more away from footholds on dry land as well but I definitely still use it in certain situations.

Nice video. I pretty enjoy the water trapping more for whatever reason but I do like to set up those trails. Are you going to be at the ITA convention?
