Hi Anthony, we hire a boat near Audlem and cruised to Marple Junction and return. Then we spent 2 days in Harrogate, visited Knaresborough from there where Donna's grandfather was born. From there we spent 3 days in Edinburgh and our last 2 days in London. The best time was on the canals. take care, Bryan & Donna

Absolutely loved the Avon. So many beautiful villages along its banks. It is easy to get lulled into a false sense of security and whilst the Avon is a fairly placid river, apparently, it is now currently in flood. Glad you enjoyed. Have a lovely week ❤

Ha! Couple of days ago I did a double-take as we were walking along a towpath. I thought...’I recognise that boat’. We were on a trip from Milton Keynes to Anglesey and thought a towpath walk about halfway would be ideal for our two dogs, so we parked at the Venetian Marina near Calverley. It was the ideal walk too…just wish had seen you as well as your boat. Happy cruising!

We don’t have the old churches here but he lived in Hexham Northumberland as a boy so there is a beautiful cathedral there. The locks looked rather tricky this week quite a workout. What a sin to see that boat half sunk, you have to be so careful, there’s no brakes really on these boats. The scenery was beautiful on this video, thanks for taking us along. Boring week here, nothing exciting at all, the hurricane just missed us though we got a little wind and rain. The weather has finally changed and it’s much cooler , the leaves are falling fast. It’s funny as you go for a walk and hear them falling down through the trees. The birds are getting ready to migrate, lots have already gone, it’s just our local Bluejays, Crows, Doves and little Chickadees left now. Ive started to feed them a little but it makes me miss my Jynx, he so loved watching the birds eat. 😢. Take care, be safe and watch those signs.🙋🏼‍♀️

Hey Dawn. Absolutely. That word does insinuate money is involved. The boat apparently ignored the red water level warning 😬. Absolutely loved the Avon and especially Pershore. Glad you missed the worse of the hurricane. Definitely feel a change in temp here too and the leaves are starting to fall here too. We wait for the swallows to head home and we know autumn is fast approaching. It is strange how mundane things make us remember loved ones. Another great vlog. I’m sure those Deer couldn’t hear you , or certainly didn’t view you as a threat like an engine might. The River looked absolutely stunning. Anthony’s omelette wrap looked very similar to something we do ( my wife does add some salad tho 😱🤪) would be great to see more cooking with the induction hob and see how it compares with the gas hob , energy consumption wise. Another week at work. Friday evenings wind down and watch you guys living the dream. Enjoyed your vlogs as always. My memory is correct you put 235 litres of diesel in your new boat. This was an especially relaxing and satisfying vlog. That one very deep and tricky lock was quite daunting. I can't imagine how a solo boater could do it. Several of those homes were to die for. We drove through Pershore a few months ago and knew it would be nice, the inside of the church is gorgeous and we re definitely having a proper trip there and we both had no idea Tewkesbury had a Marina, it looks lovely. We enjoyed the video - as we always do. A safety point for Paul. It maybe nothing but your life preserver looks strange compared to Anthony's. It looks like it has been inflated a little bit (much rounder than his and not sitting flat as the Crewsaver is designed to sit). It might be worth just checking the CO2 cylinder. I can supply instructions on how to do this if you don't know. (Life preservers are one of the products I deal in, but not in UK.) Just want to ensure you stay safe. Don't want to lose either of you!

Loving the scenery fantastic. I downloaded the bird app when you originally mentioned it, we have a lack of birds around out garden at the moment so not been able to use it. Need to go on a long dog walk if he doesnt scare them off, somewhere like Delamere Forest, we live in Crewe so not far from it. You said you heading towards Middlewich so not far away. I asssume you are from these parts? A lot of blogging canalboats seem to be in around this area recently there is 4 to count at the moment been down the Anderton Boat Lift, ive seen it but never in action brilliant views from it, Narrow Escape even got a tour and went right up the top where the mechanism is really great Victorian Engineering!

Hey there! 🥰 Lovely vlog as always. The Avon looks very peaceful. Happy Friday but it's late for you so maybe it should be Happy Saturday. 😊 I loved seeing the deer. I'd bet that it was the quietness of the boat that let you get that close before they ran. I spent today getting my latest Covid vaccine, the new RSV vaccine and did my grocery shopping so I'm tired and my arms hurt. I got the flu vaccine on Tuesday so feeling like a pin cushion. 💉 But I'm prepared! I'm curious about the bike so looking forward to that. The fat tires would definitely be better on those rough tow paths. Today was a very nice day but rain is coming and the temp is going to go down a bit. ❤ I hope Dexter is OK after his sudden dip.
