I used one of these Bussmann power distribution modules on a friend's Dastun 240Z several years back for lighting and electric fans. Worked great and avoids a mess of individually wired relays and fuses. Bussmann now has a new power distribution series with even more circuits. Check out their ssVEC line. Up to 200 amps with three different combinations of relays and fuses. Thanks for showing that the T11 tool can be used for 10-12 AWG Metri Pack connectors. I was confused at first when I saw you using 20-24 die size, but I discovered later that die was intended for crimping to the wire insulation. Seems to work just as well for crimping directly to 10-12 AWG wire.

awesome video. not doing a racecar this time. purchased a 66 bronco that needs new wiring badly.. after pricing aftermarket harnesses at $800-$1000, i decided I'd just wire it myself with some GXL since i did a HWY22 install from AAW on my 68 mustang. its pretty much just a universal fuse block. I'll be going with the Eaton 15305-1-2-3 20 circuit panel.

Thanks for taking the time to do this video. I notice that you are using 10awg wire but per website description says that the biggest wire gauge supported is 12awg. If ordered the parts you listed in description the box will fit 10awg wire and work? Also when you flip the relays to make it negative trigger, if you do not flip them will be positive triggered? Really like that setup is very clean and professional and want to install fog lights in a few semi trucks. Thanks

This is an excellent video. Informative, detailed, and to the point. The time you have taken to include part numbers for everything you will need to complete a project like this greatly appreciated. How did you acquire the information about the Bussmann fuse/relay box, and all the components? I believe there are at least five 15000 series part numbers with practically zero descriptions on the internet. Bussmann seems to be marketing to OEM and significant up fitters only. Thanks for the education.

LIKED YOUR TUTORIAL AND THOUGHT YOU HAD SOME GOOD IDEAS. JUST HAD QUESTIONS ABOUT HOW YOU ARE WIRING YOUR GROUND SIGNALS, A LOT OF ECUS USE GROUND SIGNALS TO ACTIVATE THE COIL SIDE OF THE RELAY. FOR EXAMPLE FANS, FUEL PUMP ETC. IF I UNDERSTAND PROPERLY, THE WAY YOU WIRED IT THERE IS A CONSTANT GROUND TO ONE SIDE OF THE COIL AND THE SIGNAL BEING A 12V SIGNAL. BECAUSE OF THE BUSS BARS YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO BE SELECTIVE ON EACH RELAY.

Is there need for relays if you have one big cable going from the battery to the fuse box and from the fuse box to all devices like radiator fan, fuel pump, powerwindows etc. Before the fusebox you add a battery killswitch, evertime you stop driving, use the killswitch to disactivate the fuse box. Really great video, this explains so much. Quick question though. The plugs that you have coming off of the bottom for your various devices. Since you decided to plug the ground hole (since you didn't want ground wires running everywhere), will you ground each device to the frame or something where it's at? In my scenario I'm thinking offroad lights, fans, more lights, etc all over the truck. So at each light I would run the hot all the way to plug, but the ground I would ground down to the frame or something close by to each device correct?
