This week we take a look at real race fuel vs the race fuel additives that boost octane to race fuel octane numbers. Do they work, how do they work, and are there any side effects? I've gravitated to Renegade Race Fuel RM109 for our Dodge Challenger Hellcat Go Man Go. It's a 107 octane R+M/2 method fuel that is unleaded. We've had great results with this Renegade race fuel.

Glad you and the Mrs. are O.K. Speedy! I've been running Boostane in my SRT 392 for the past 2 race seasons; with no issues. I run a mix of 91 octane (highest I can get) and Boostane to get 96-98 octane. I like the convenience and if I have to change the Spark Plugs or O2 earlier that isn't a concern for me. So far Boostane has been an awesome product. Disclaimer: I have a '17 and it only has 3.1k miles on it so I am not daily-ing the car.

Man on a Stock tune getting 100 Octane is Good. I’ve tried MS109 in a stock Hellcat and didn’t work as good. 10.62@130 ! I think the best for Stock Motor Hellcats is 100 octane too! Man, I see nothing but Goodness with all them 5 gallons of Renegade! Racing content is going to be Awesome!💪🏼👍😎

I had a 1320 ordered and was assured I can race it at the track and be fully covered...in fact it comes with a 1 year NHRA membership...i had the salesman walk me to service manager, store manager and they called the regional and they all agreed I could drive it to our local track ( 76 miles ) every weekend and race it if i wanted full warranty.... Just an FYI I've heard you say only the Demon a few time but the 1320 as well..... Love the videos been using boostane in my 12 to 1 compression about 20 tanks to 700whp no problems...the Gen 3 Coyote has 4 knock sensors super sensitive and it ADDS timing up to borderline knock, I have the knock PID mapped to my Ngauge LED sweep and its easy to see when I have and don't have it in there.... I'm running good 93 and about 4-6oz per tank.....nothing hard just a little extra insurance

Another great video. I’ve used Boostane in 2015 since 2016 with no issues. There some tuners highly recommend it. Regardless I do appreciate your input. My car is strictly a street car. Unfortunately we only have 91 octane in my area. I understood you to say we at least use a 100 octane mixture is that correct?

Getting it up around 100 seems to work best. Take a look at the Boostane mixing chart I remember it being a low amount to get to 98 or so then double to get over that. Thought that was odd.

I use 6oz Berryman B12(Acetone main ingredient for b12) 1/2 oz fuel ox 6oz fuel system cleaner with PEA 4oz race gas 2.5oz boostane 4oz klotz octanebooster 4oz vp madditive 4oz amsoil dominator 2oz lucas octanebooster 4oz torco with 4oz marvel mystery oil+ 2oz amsoil upper cylinder lubricant mix together. Then I pre mix my own power mix with 12-15 gallons of 91 non ethanol gasoline and that probably gives me close too 100(r+m)/2 by math. You guys can say I'm crazy or I'm kidding but really not. I do that and I never get any issues with knocking or orange residue. I think this mix works the best, any thing I've ever used.

You mentioned torco, and was wondering how you liked it. Is what we are running in my Challenger and is produced in Apache Junction AZ, which is about 15 miles from where we are located. I ordered a case of their accelerator online, and ask if we could save on the shipping if I picked it up myself. I really didn't care so much about the money, as I wanted to see their outfit and how it was made more than anything. Was able to see some of it, but they said I would have to contact them if I wanted a full tour of the operation and have yet to take them up on it. I will have to do it one of these days, and is interesting stuff. Lol heck they should sponsor me since I've even got one of their stickers they gave me on the back window of my SRT8, and looks pretty cool on it

I'm honestly not wild about any fuel additives. I run real race gas from Renegade Race Fuels.

@@SpeedysGarage yeah, I'm not either and don't run it often. Going to start getting their race gas, and have pumps with up to 118 octane. They do not make anything except racing fuel/additives, and is a top-notch company

Would you recommend a high octane racing fuel additive for a highway cruiser bike? (1996 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500) honestly just looking to get a better gas quality and gas mileage

A good tune up will give you better results.

Great video, unfortunately I live in the anal state of California, 91 octane is everywhere, there are a couple of stations to buy higher octane but there far and in between

I live in California where 93 isn’t available. E 85 Is also barely available but there’s a system called proflex for hellcats where you can run e85 and any mixture of 91/ e85. Thinking of going that route. Any thoughts?

I'd do a real flex fuel tune from one of the known good tuners like Dusterhoff or Mike from OSTDyno.com.

Great video speedy I got to find out where I can buy some in New Jersey you're not the only person that said 93 Sunoco is not enough even in a stock Hellcat I'm not put on theme booster into the car is brand new under 5,000 miles so my question to you would be to a full tank of gas what do you think would be enough Two gallons? I also read that the stock computer and the knock sensors in the new Hellcat 2019 up will adjust the air fuel ratio for up to 98 octane gas not ever planning on taking her to the track but I do play around on the interstate once in a while in Mexico

my dakota r/t has a hypertech or something done to it,an i have k an n system too, it rattles on even 89 octane,i started running 93 a few years ago,an no rattle,an it hauls ass,an barks tires good an hard,not sure what previous owner did all to it,an cant find him. would race gas at all help mine,we got new flomaster an 200.00 cat converter cause of emissions,but am in county now that sux, but no emissions laws here in jackson, ga...

I personally use VP MS109 instead, its (R+M)/2 + 103.3 according to their site. I run about a gallong of ms109 to 6 gallons of 93 and I have no STKR on stock tune. Plus it is cheaper than Renegade lol.

That's why I do NOT use VP. Renegade is higher octane.

I wouldnt even waste my time with longtubes on a Redeye. Just get some catless mids. You wont have any gains going with longtubes other than some sound.

@@SpeedysGarage It has been a real pain. And I have a 2 post lift. Drivers side 7 -10 mm bolts off factory manifolds. One to go. Passenger side 4 bolts off factory manifolds.4 to go. In the Kooks long tube directions it says remove 3 bolts holding fuse panel and move aside. Directions probably will not make good toilet paper. Your videos are awesome.
