Hamilton pushed hard ofc but its hard to discount Max’s wearing tyres, theres a reason everyone thought the overtake was inevitable. Max extracted what resources he had left to win it. We all hear of drives where the leader is quickly losing time to the driver behind him and still comes out on top, Alonso at Singapore in 2010 comes to mind. Coming back to this after Max revealed in his interview how he had ongoing vision and dizziness issues due to the aftermath of the Silverstone crash, said it was so bad at one point he almost considered just turning off the car and retiring, makes this win one of the most impressive in his career

Incredibly mature drive from Max. He managed the pitstops, the undercut, the gap netwerk him and Lewis. Perfect.

I was reaaly impressed how calm Max stayed after the start when Hamilton overtook him. Lewis almost kicked him out the race, but Max stayed out of trouble by choosing the wise road and give him the lead.

Hamilton was kind of stubborn in the beginning of his F1 career, accepting some excessive risks, making mistakes... Then he got more experienced, titles came and he became better and better. I can see the same happening to Max, in this season and in the coming years. What a lovely championship is this in 2021...

I did notice. He does everything for the team and I’m glad he has found his pace. I think he’s thankful for RB picking him up and he is making sure they’re right about that. With the drink and without the sacrifice for Max he would have been racing for the win. Cheers from NL.

Classy move. He wasn't quite as fast as Max and he knew it. He finished 44 seconds back. If he took that position on lap 1, Max would have eventually passed him anyway but would have never been able to get the win after that.
