I’ve always loved how the back of this car looks with the exhausts and wide back tires. I guess I’d have to give credit to the Miura for this kind of styling, but either way I really like it.

I'd say the Mangusta (Predecessor to the Pantera) has a much better rear, especially with the wing doors in the back. Though can't disagree with the exhaust pipes, those look great. Still, both of these cars look damn good and I wish they had a bit more fame.

Used to be one in my neighborhood in the early 1980s when I was a kid. It was yellow-orange, sort of a "cheddar cheese" color but it actually looked great on the car. Even back then you didn't see Panteras every day. It's been one of my favorite dream cars ever since. Their exhaust has a unique stuttering snarl that sounds like nothing else. Maybe it's down to the way the engine is positioned, or the length of the pipes, but whatever, they have their own totally unique note. Especially when fitted with tube headers.

The Pantera styling coupled with American muscle and a ZF manual is a killer combination. I have always loved the styling and the simplicity of it! The trunk insert for carrying some overnight bags looks fairly spacious, probably don’t want to put ice cream in there it wouldn’t make the trip home too well! Love the sound of the stroker V8 based on the roll bar and fire system this car is set up for track days, and you can drive it there and back and not worry and hopefully not break any drivetrain internals! Great video thank you Colleen!

Absolutely love this car. I was lucky enough to get pictures of one and speak to the owner. And it was an original race version, had the massive engine compartment id tag. Crazy headers going straight out the back. Super duper wide tires, super low. Beautiful car

I had to do a double-take because this car has the same exact GTS-style steel flares that were on my '74, which I've rarely seen. I've lost track of ol' #6152 and thought maybe a new owner had painted it red. :) But alas, this is an earlier vehicle. The split pod dash was one clue.

Have always loved the styling of Panteras since seeing one being driven at high speed walking home from school back in the 80s here in the UK. The only other one i saw was at a car show about 20 years ago so very rare compared to Ferrari's. I love high revving naturally aspirated engimes and have owned both a Ferrari 355 & a Porsche 996GT3 with redlines above 8000rpm and both sounded fantastic but not huge amounts or torque. American V8's also sound fantastic and have plenty of toruq low down so probaby lower running costs compared to a Ferrari, Lambo etc.

A later version with all the flares and etc with an all aluminum big cube Roush or Kasse SBF with a killer top end would be a killer setup I think. Or maybe even a forged Coyote or forged Voodoo with a 3.0 or 3.8L Whipple would be an absolute blast. I've always loved the way these look and I'm not a Blue Oval fan boy by any means. Who couldn't love these looks with a Whipple Coyote or Voodoo making an easy 800+++ whp and rev to 7500+ rpm plus.

Enzo Ferrari had a talent for making enemies everywhere he went but the one thing that did was it inspired others to make some exciting cars to beat his Ferraris. With the Ford engine they are easy to work on and parts don't generally cost an arm, leg, and kidney too. The bad thing for me is that I'm 6'5" and most cars just aren't made for people over about 6'2" so fitting in this for me would probably set off a mean episode of sciatica.

In description: "The detomaso Pantera is quick from the factory, being mid engine, and with more than adequit ammounts of torque derrived from its Ford 352 Windsor" The de Tomaso with the 351 was always the Cleveland, except for 1988-1990 when it came with the Windsor. My dad's 1972 Pantera was white but it had a black colored engine hood. I've never seen another one painted like it and we bought it in 1976, so we know it wasn't aftermarket painted. It made it look even better. It wasn't as fast as our 308GTB, but it sounded better at idle.
