I wanted to get this one out early, as I feel there is a good chance that bookmakers could open up around the same or higher than William Hill have chalked up on one particular horse. There are 3 races rated in total for Sunday, with just this one selection.

@@kevinstead3813 Hi Kevin, it’s difficult to explain on the whole. The base ratings excluding the Speed & Master ratings are based on Post Data information, which I will adjust where I see fit. The speed, master and adjusted score are all separate entities. The adjusted rating is largely factored on a profiling scoring system that I base off 9 other criteria. The figures are lumped together, and adjusted based on my own algorithm, which again is centred around the importance I deem for each piece of criteria. I’m sure you probably know how the odds are then shown based on the rating figures, and bookmaker prices. I cannot take credit for the base ratings side of the system, this was something I came across on a blog post many years ago. It sparked my interest as it was similar to how I used to calculate my own many years ago, but with a couple of fundamental differences. I became friends via email with the person who posted the method, and then took what was a manual process originally, and semi automated it via excel. The base system is still the fundamental element of the model I use today, as it is simple, the other scoring factors are additions of mine that have undergone refinement over the last few years. I don’t know how else to explain them, other than giving you the sheets that sit behind what you see everyday, and I’m not willing to do that, hope you understand. Regards Dave

@@kevinstead3813 I did post a video on my Patreon page in response to someone else who asked for a more of an explanation. I covered off a few of the criteria I score, that largely affect the adjusted score on that video, but not everything. I’m happy to be as transparent as possible, but hope you can appreciate, I’m not giving everything away. The one other thing I am happy to share, is that my ratings do show a bias towards C&D winners, as that is a factor that I myself believe to warrant more credibility.
