My wife's YZ250 has a lot of these goodies. We run Castor 927 and VP110 in it. It is such a great bike I'll probably buy one before California outlaws the sales of new ones. Nothing feels or runs like a YZ!

Pro Circuit did the mods back in the day (porting/head mods) on my 88 CR500 when they were in Anaheim on La Palma. OMG what a difference , the sound , the bark the pull was crazy. I also had the 1st ever FMF Gold pipe on it and it had MONGO power mid-range and top-end was insane. Nothing could touch it. They also re-did the forks to get rid of high-speed-woops headshake.

New plastics and good graphics on Jeremy and Chad's old bike. Ho hum. As Ping mentioned, the bike is moving around a lot every time he gets on the gas, spread the gearing and maybe extend the wheelbase with the chain adjuster or 4t swingarm. Maybe a flywheel.

How do you go about buying new handlebars when you haven't tried them on a bike before. Just rode my friends 019 ktm 125 and thought the bars felt a lot better than my 017 husky two stroke. All I know is that there is not as much rise on the 019 bar.

With most two strokes it’s the opposite, a shorty will hurt bottom end and enhance top end.

I remember reviewers talking endless shit about every new yz250 release during from 2015-2021, now suddenly everyone's loving them. It's always been a perfect bike, but these kids raised on 4 strokes only and don't even know how to change their spark plugs don't need to be reviewing dirtbikes.

I’m 5’9” and I fit great on the new YZ250 just set the sag properly and I set the forks down 3mm in the clamps and it’s perfect for me. The seat is flatter now so it feels easier to setup for some reason.

You can make any bike work for you. There are girls out there ripping that are 5.0 or even less and doing pro racing. Lower seat - taller footpegs, linkage to bring the rear down, suspension spring front and rear put them up in the triple clamps - You can go down up to 5mm on the subframe depending on the bike. 5,7 is more than just fine, the YZ will fit you no problem. Look at Carmichael, Alex Martin and Ping , Will Hahn and many other not being the tallest being all super good and fast riders.

I just went and measured because I thought this guy was tripping my bike is 38 inch seat height without me on it my also stock suspension 1996 YZ250 is 39 inches my CRF250 is also 38 inches. so no this is not that tall of a bike really at all and Yamaha’s have been known to be taller bikes going back to the 80’s but if you know how to set sag there is no need in my opinion to get aftermarket suspension this YZ is one of the best suspended bikes I’ve ever had wish that my Honda had this KYB stuff.
