Truth man I switched from a yz250 to a worked wr450 and it's just not the same man. The 450 is so smooth and only wants ya dead when you're too rough.. the 250 loves it rough and wants to hurt you every second you're on it

Sure a small bike is fun for goofing around but you can't beat the adrenaline of a high HP bike as it trys to kill you every chance it gets. It becomes an addiction and next thing you know your constantly dumping thousands of dollars into it to make it faster and stupider. My first real dirt bike which I have owned for over 10 years now is a completely rebuilt/modified/aftermarket from bars to tire Yamaha YZ426F that's cammed, ported, bored to 444cc, running 15:1 comp and drinks VP race fuel like it's going out of style. Bloody thing will roast the tire in 5th at 60mph on pavement and will hold a wheelie upto the 12.5k rev limiter at 100mph. No other dirt bike I have ridden or gone against can touch it, only bike I know it will have a hard time against is a CR500 or a new Husqvarna 701. I haven't had the honors yet as the engine has thrown the rod through the case again and currently needs complete rebuild costing approx $3000 but I hope to have it ripping again soon.

Feeling that “I own a money pit why do I do this to myself” as well but it’ll all be worth it when we get to crack some throttles and bet our buddies who can make it higher over that jump lol

Right, been seeing lot of hate comments about Emelia. And i gotta say ya'll just dunno shit. The ECU hasn't ever been cracked and tune so her and her team had to do it from scratch. And yes at those moments she was having gearbox problem. But now i think she runs 1000hp perfectly fine on the quarter mile

If you are someone who loves speed, you absolutely must add riding a built Banshee to your bucket list. It is one of the most intense and visceral experiences in all of motoring. The 421cc builds like this one has are actually pretty popular and it's not particularly difficult to get them close to 100hp, especially if you're willing to run race gas. If you're ever offered the opportunity to ride one of those screamers, definitely take it. One with 85+hp is like having the grim reaper perched on the handlebars egging you on so be careful.

actually thats how to slow down the bike,just like motogp rider racing on track ,when they break, they used own body like air break to slow the bike, tight up body at start of long straight , less drag mean go faster, then expanding the body when hit break at end of straight.

Those 2 stroke's are insane machines. My bike I built as a kid was the RD350 that they took the engine/tranny from for these and holy cow was it a blast. Scared every single person who rode it for the first time too. You'd think having nothing but temp, tach and dual pyro's (I yanked the speedo for the pyro's, just use the tach. :) ) would clue people in something's up, but everyone did the same thing: Rolled into the throttle at 3000-4000 RPM, figured it was a pansy bike, held it there till it finally hit 6K and the pipes finally hit resonance and then the front wheel would snap off the pavement and they'd ride back trying to make it look like their knees weren't shaking. Lol. It's not the fastest bike by any means, but sketchy is definitely a good way to explain it. When you get carried away building them for peaky power delivery and really dial in the jetting/piping, it's like riding a stick of dynamite. It wouldn't surprise me if there's 10X more power at 6000 RPM than there is at 5000 with the one I built. It makes them very exciting to ride. Or, as the one guy who was in a magazine for his wild RZ500 build claimed when he was interviewed: "I've seen Jesus several times". I can't even imagine what the TZ750's would have been like being built for peaky power like that.

Especially when I was done with mine. Between head machining work, hand porting work, really peaky pipes, etc, it made enough power the stock clutch wouldn't hold it back. It was weird... You'd hit 6K and then it would kind of jig past that up to about 9, then slip back down to about 7 or so as the plates heated and caught, then rev normally till it was out of pipe, then repeat. But damn, with a bit more compression, as good of a port job as *I* was able to do (right down to making sure the exhaust ports were smooth with the pipes and crush fiber washers to prevent edge flow issues), some good peaky race pipes, 110ll aviation gasoline (though I could have gotten away with high test pump stuff really) and then a pile of time using those dial pyro's to jet it in as close as you could before the pistons would crown themselves the wrong way (AKA, melt and instead of a crown, have a dish shape or just a hole. :P), that bike flew for being a 350. Did all kinds of other stuff too. Replaced the battery with a large 10,000 uF electrolytic capacitor so I still had basic electrical but without the weight, lost the middle stand, lightenened a bunch of other stuff too. All in all, when the RPM finally hit the pipes, you had damn well better be paying attention. Really, it was about the same as a good 600cc sport bike of the era up until you hit about 100 miles/hour, but the snaky unpredictable (to a new rider) power delivery is what made it fun. I knew people that routinely rode 1 liter bikes back then who would try it and come back white as a sheet just because it would snap the front end off the ground before they even realized something was about to happen. And you couldn't warn them of course. "Now listen, 6K rpm, you better be watching... " "HAhahaha! Yeah yeah, I get it...". And suddenly, you see a foot of air between the ground and the front tire and then they putz back never breaking about 4000 RPM. lol. I still have the bike too. :)
