power vs handling handling WINS!!!

Either way the MRS is lighter, mid engined and more adapted for cornering than a Nissan S car. Although the S15 is one of my personal favorite cars, its just not in the same league as a MRS when it comes to handling.

OMG seeing this video remembers me off my project that had to be canceled until new legislation comes to portugal (simply you can't mod cars!!!) I have a GT300 kit now stored on it's original box, waiting for money to buy another mrs just for track use and then continue to upgrade it to something similar to that Techno Pro Spirit. That car was my inspiration! I loved the battle NA vs Turbo (under 2000cc) were MRS was fighting with the S14's and the tuned S2000 with keychi on the wheel was smoked

Below comment...dipping the clutch a little keeps your revs high and spool up with the corners been tight it will help maintain a good power band throughout, all about the Toyota's. : ) although the GTR is an amazing machine 2JZ still king of the crop ; )
@jacobs93189 жыл бұрын
No, he meant why did taniguichi keep his foot on the clutch, it's his habit, doesn't matter since the s15 had a twin plate clutch.

Thank you very much monstermrs =). What I would do for that MRS, or even a clone with just that wide body =(.

Man, how do you make a 2zz perform like this naturally aspirated? Amazing car.

this vid is so good i have all 3 of the mr2 and they are one of the most fun cars to drive and have a quality of there own!!

its a N/A 2zz in the mr-s versus the turboed s15
@Slidingmy240sx16 жыл бұрын
but yeah dude. That is a full blown track car vs a street S15. If we put the equally tuned Yashio Factory S15 against it, it definitely wouldnt be a fair race =P

its very good for drifting, i think this is a test

guys i am getting a spyder soon.question better 1ZZ+turbo or n/a 2ZZ and maybe in the long run +turbo???and how will it affect the handling??tks for ur help

just different styles of driving. for an inexperienced driver, yes absolutely. but watch closely and you'll notice he never depresses the clutch enough to be in the slip zone. he just had his foot kinda there. All (manual) cars have kind of a resting zone, where even if you're pushing on the pedal, the clutch doesn't engage. I assume he keeps his foot there so he's always ready to make a gear change, or if he hits a spot where he just doesn't have he torque he can quickly do a clutch kick.

like...they have another S15 that they campaigned. It's like Yashio's Street S15 Demo car...and the F15 Time Attack/drift car. But it is nice to see Imamura driving a more capable car than the Fairlady Z he was driving.
@Slidingmy240sx16 жыл бұрын
i know...but look @ the difference in the preparation of both cars. the MR2 was COMPLETELY stripped. while the S15 was still in street trim

its all gravy =P. i personally have driven the sister 350Z. Compared to an S-chassis car, it feels more like an electronic ship rather than a mechanical fighter plane.
@OCTOMARVEL16 жыл бұрын
i detect overzealousness in your post. sure, the mr-s was race prepped, but alot of the time on the touge, that accounts for nothing. see the vid of the j's racing s2000 VS the ralliart works evo for confirmation.

Anybody else wondering why the spring rate is set at F-5kg and R-12kg for the MR-S? I find MR the hardest to set-up for lapping and autox if anybody has tips.
@Slidingmy240sx16 жыл бұрын
an S-chassis can corner quickly. Its just the fact that you're puttin a street car up against a stripped out time attack car. yeah sure the S15 has more power, but in a mega technical course...the more stripped out and lighter car will make it easy for the driver.
@chimaera185515 жыл бұрын
guys can the 3s gte been swap into a mrs???
@War10ck100413 жыл бұрын
@Slidingmy240sx but the mr-s is only 190hp...whereas the S is 320...
@hgenesis1012 жыл бұрын
thats not fair though!! thats keichi tsuchiya... no matter what car he drives he wins at touge all the time!!! jaaajajajaa

Why does the s15 driver keep his foot on the clutch durin the whole race? ain't that ridin the clutch?
wow. the chinese subtitle on this vid is so incorrect.

The tC may produce more power than an MR-S, but handles like crap in comparison. I've auto crossed both, and have a lot of experience with MR cars. If you want a car that can run mid 12's, just turbo the 1ZZ-FE in the MR-S. Personally, I"d go with a 2ZZ-GE setup for the better throttle response, as it will make the car easier to manage at the limits during cornering.

this video explains the lightweight concept of cars...not necessarily the MRS vs the S15. But the S15 isnt just "decent" it definitely is an Awesome handling car, its just in this video, a street tune car isnt as good as a track tuned car in twisties. + you're talkin about the HKS work's/JGTC driver that owns 3 S-chassis'.

the S15 isnt the exact drift car. If you look in the interior, the car is Kei Office's street car...it's demo car.
@NerdOsiris13 жыл бұрын
@War10ck1004 In a tight 'track' like this the S chasis really can't show off all those horses. Too much power I think. Although 'Slidingmy240sx' argument is fail because even if they did strip the s15 and what not the mrs would still win. It's mid engined and specifically designed for tight cornering.
