Not a bad race for Micheal Knight. He spent most of his time talking into his wrist-communicator, and disabling that explosive, but he managed to get the win anyway. He was driving the no.1 car, so I guess his win would make sense.😉

That Trunk Lid button is a little too close to the Turbo Boost button for my liking. Those buttons should be grouped by function. On a bumpy road, just when only Turbo Boost will save the day, the front wheel hits a pothole and Michael accidentally opens the Trunk. Kitt crashes into the Party shop killing lots of kids and some balloon strings get snagged on the rear wing. Or, Michael comes out of the Kwik-e-mart with some groceries. it's a sunny day so Kitts windows are open. Michael reaches inside to press the button to open the trunk, but hits the Turbo Boost by mistake. The car sails into the trolley bay and lands on two parallel trolley-snakes and goes skating across the car park gently pirouetting.

@@mattiasjohansson7231 You might have made a good point there actually. Since Michael frequently stabs at many buttons on the roof or the 4 buttons under the monitors - it would make sense that Kitt decides that what he's actually trying to do is open the trunk- and Kitt opens the trunk.

IndyCars are heavier than F1 but have a faster straight line top speed. F1 are overall faster on race tracks due to their quicker acceleration and extra downforce which allows them to take corners better than any indyCar could. Still I wouldn't say no to driving either.

i noticed the actual racing footage in that episode was indeed johnny rutherford ,but the car in the photos with micheal was a dan gurney designed stock block cheverolet eagle painted to look like the car johnny rutherford was driving ,but it really wasn't his car in the recorded racing footage

She said "unshielded ignition's". The ignition systems in cars used to put out a Radio frequency that could interrupt electronics that are looking for certain frequencies in order to work properly. These being race cars of the time the ignition systems were more powerful than a regular street car ignition systems

One of my favorite episodes purely because that's where I got my screen name over 23 years ago, season 4 episode title Knight Racer which I still use in so many places to this day. It's also one of the episodes where we see the swimsuit model on the hitmans boat and the David Hasselhoff married. She's also the mother of his children.

Which seat is Bonnie sitting in? From the far shot, she’s in the driver’s seat and in the close up shot, she’s in the passenger seat. That’s one of the things I never liked about Knight Rider. They would never double check in editing. Similar things like this have happened before.
