The crazy boosted builds are cool, but big power N/A builds are just something special. An old engine builder that had a shop local to me used to say "Boost is for engines that are poorly designed, All Motor Power is part skill, part art".

Gents, that’s 760hp/695lbs-ft at the crank. Motor. NA. And what sounds like a streetable head/cam setup, not something out for crazy dyno/peak numbers. Only NA motors out there that put out that much from factory are V12 Ferraris, etc. NA from factory, not power adder motors. Whenever a euro/import fanboy say that their cars output similar numbers is because of a good amount of boost thru their smaller displacement/cylinder count motors that are always on the brink. Cross plane, pushrod, 2 valve/cylinder “old tech” bigger displacement motor does it NA. And it sounds like mortar fire. 👍💪🇺🇸🦅

Likely left power on the table re-using the same cam as the 6.2L. Need more duration for the extra cubes. You can see it roll over sooner because of that.
@C6Z_Bob8 ай бұрын
A larger bore like that also allows for a larger intake valve which would make even more power. Obviously that would be a lot of extra money and work though. It all depends how wild you want to get with it. Still, 650 with all the same parts as the 376 is impressive

RWTQ was super high at all most 600rwtq ( 594rwtq ). I was curious as to what made it so high? If it was a comparable LS3/LS7 build at 427 ci with good compression and good head flow i'd be expecting 550-575rwtq and think those are awesome rwtq numbers...

Does it bother the guys in the shop while you have a car on the dyno? Especially if your making a lot of pulls or have issues while it's on the dyno.

How much more hp can you expect with a hi-rise intake (Holley or Performance Design), all else equal? And do you expect the hp curve dip below the current one at lower rev range?

The heads had to be slightly different to go from the 376 to the 427 correct? You mentioned they were your normal ported heads. But they would have to be 4.125 bore correct? With intake valves bumped to 2.25”?
@Greybeard19853 ай бұрын
No. He said they just reused the heads from the old engine. Nothing changed. Engine is probably 4.00 though. yeah. You don't need different heads for that.
