I saw the video right now. This is absolutely gorgeus. The sound is as good as the driver. This beast isn't easy to drive. But Jordan Taylor is really a fantastic driver. His downshifts with double-clutch are so wonderfull. If you look onboard videos today many of the driver's can't double-clutch and the rear wheels often lock up. We saw Greenwoods entry live at Le Mans back in 1976. We loved the car and the man behind it. Before the start the crew had a table in front of the box an drank something(beer??). In the very first corner after the start, before the chicane the car came sideways. For sure a big moment for the driver. Love this car and its so good to see it on the track today.

I could be wrong,but I think this car was rumored to be pushing 900+ h.p. On those old style slicks,no brakes, downforce is kind if there and alot of torque. This is a car for real drivers. And Jordan did one hell of a job

John Greenwood and his Corvette were about as _American_ as it gets. He was a regular guy from Detroit who loved cars and started out drag racing on Woodward Boulevard - the first paved road in America, I am led to believe. He was really tall, and he built and drove a series of big Corvettes with _enormous_ engines. He worked his way up to winning the FIA World Championship for GT Cars, as an owner-driver, with the help and support of some key people including his brother Burt. It's a cool story, and this is a cool car.

@nicksGLI5 жыл бұрын
If your graphics are clear coated: Suction cup mount or MAYBE a 3M Strip, but both might fall due to heat/vibration/geforces. If not clear coated, maybe just put a small square of clear vinyl and put a hard mount on that? You could try the standard headstrap or other strap on outside of helmet. They might even be using a strong alligator clip on the top center of visor, as it seems the visor is up a bit, giving something for it to grab.

@@MiguelGarcia-vj7oo The guy in third place at the beginning is driving a Corvette and hounds places 1 and 2 thru the turns. So there goes you're "American" car theory. This iteration of 1975/76 Greenwood car is 900hp with a 540 Chevy, the original was 700-750hp. This team running in historical races had issues at Daytona. The setup seems to be off in this car some times, though in the hands of the original racer, John Greenwood, it was a racer winner winning an IMSA and Trans Am title. It qualified 9th overall at LeMans. Here, it seems Jordan shifted into 1st, something that John Greenwood would tell other racers to never do bc it locks up the brakes, but Jordan never met John for race advice for this car, as John passed away in 2015.
