The ancient Greeks drank undiluted, super strong wine that they then added water too. I'd imagine minotaurs prefer that, minus the water.

You know what a minotaur is right? xD Eating people is kinda their reason for existing. They are Monsters not missunderstood creatures or some bs like that. And I can not possibly be racist against a race that does not exist...

Fantastic video. I like seeing Minotaurs more like Taurens from WoW. Some might see them as evil because of their alliances or whatever but they have a lot of honor and basically just want to survive in a world where humans or other races are very hostile towards them.

Fun fact: The Minotaur was put in the labyrinth as an infant and just became a monster due to time and isolation and getting fed with humans.

dannyjacobusse His artwork in Mordenkainen's is fucking awesome, I can't say I dislike any of the demon lords that are currently stated, but I feel like Baphomet is one of the arguably weaker when it comes to being a villain, I feel like he'd be awesome to fight at as high level side quest, but I don't think he can play the role as the central BBEG like some of the other demon lords like Orcus.

Rewatching this episode for the fourth time. Luv it. Helped create my 1st character. I use the 4e lore and have young adults go on a "rumspringa" to see if he can control his inner demon.

Another interesting fact about Theseus, he and his friend wanted to marry the most beautiful women in the world, so he kidnapped Helen of Troy, (who was twelve at the time) and his friend wanted to marry Persephone, so they travelled to the underworld to kidnap Persephone, and they met Hades who invited them to dinner, and proceeded to bind them to the chairs to be tortured for all time.

Coming in to say love you work, it's really helpful to new DMs and getting ideas for encounters and monsters etc. One thing cows have horns. It is more dependant on breed than sex. A bovine animal without horns is cased as naturally polled.

Guys you made a few mistakes there but like Obi-Wan Kenobi that's why I'm here. Ok first off theseus the Greek hero was intending to marry the princess but she was already promised to a god of the Olympus and was told to leave her on an island so that dionysus could find her and in his grief theseus forgot to change the sails.

But kidnapping ten year old Helen of Troy as a child bride to groom, then helping his buddy in an attempt to kidnap and rape Persephone most definitely make him an asshole.

@@aubreyackermann8432 True. Though that was far later in life when he did all that, when he was in his 50's. The minotaur stuff happened when he was either 18 or in his early 20's. Theseus' life was one of heroic and beneficent deeds in his youth, and then a gradual slide into douchebaggery in his later life.

I had a minotaur named Ferdinand as an NPC in a campaign I ran a few decades ago. Ferdi was goodly, very helpful, and a beast in comdat. IDK where these guys get 7' tall 350 lbs from, that's just Shaq. I always assume that minotaurs are much larger than humans. Also, does anyone remember Kas from the " Dragonlance" series?

NONE OF THE MINOTAUR PLAYER OPTIONS FROM ANY PUBLISHED SOURCEBOOKS GIVES MINOTAUR POWERFUL BUILD!! I honestly never noticed before because HOW!?! so technically a bugbear, firbolg, goliath or orc of equivalent str score would overpower and outlift a minotaur which feels wrong... maybe the goliaths but everything else??

There are RPG players that will not play with players who want to play as any post 1980s races if they are DMing or as a player. For them to play you are required to play as a elf, dwarf, human, halfling, or half elf and are forbiden to play as anything else. Unfortunately that is the kind of games I can find. So I'm banned from playing as I just out right love the idea of playing as a Minotuar. This consept of Minotaur being sailers is out right ridiculous. First the idea of a Minotaur being able to stay on a ship that is wet and extremely slippery with hooves climing over a ships rigging is far beyond being ridiculous. Then there is the idea of Minotaur being able to swim. It would make sence for Minotaur eing afraid of deep water as they cant swim but will sink to the bottom of any body of water. The only kind of boats I could see Minotaur using are boats that are rowed where they stay in place until the boat hits the shore and bottoms out.

Your podcasts are great, and they help a lot when I'm world building or planning things for my campaign. Have you guys considered Tumblr? I think you could find some good use in it as a blog for smaller bits of information you can't fit into videos, or perhaps there isn't enough information about for a video but you still would like to share.

12:00 The d&d 5e CR is really inaccurate I had my party fight a CR 11 frost giant at level one and low and behold after a few death savings, nat 20’s and several rounds of combat the frost giant died and all my players came out of it alive

A lot depends on the luck of die rolls. It's probably a good idea to always have a few lower level monsters in reserve to throw in as reinforcements if things go too easily on a party.

CR is inaccurate, especially if the giant was solo against your players and the PCs are fresh (didn't fight 4 other battles in the same game day to deplete their resources) and your players actually have some tactics or min-maxed characters. Plus most giants in 5e just seem hopelessly underpowered.
