Can't wait to see how they'll hold up in the heat of summer. Although, between the great prep work, and the double sided tape(Good Brand, no some cheap double sided one), I'm sure they won't be a problem.

Can you remove them?

They are held in by strong adhesive strips but are not permanent. If you removed them you'd need new adhesive strips to reattach.
