Hard to decide. I like commando, huntress, railgunner, void fiend, and artificer…. I pretty much like all of them except Rex and mercenary. And it’s not even that I hate them, they just aren’t the style that I like. Even loader is kind of mid for me, but fall immunity and rocketing yourself through the air with your fist is cool

I was struggling a bit to get a good MUL-T run on my E3 attempts recently, but then suddenly I was blessed by John Hopoo himself and got 3 tricorns vs a pack of mountain challenge dunestriders on stage 2. MUL-T turned into a sponge that day from soaking up so much damage.

I almost exclusively run tank MUL-T with double scrap launchers, very underrated setup. I just got back into the game and deep into it unlike before and I'm on E7 rn but haven't completed it cause college just started

@@typescript_terrorist I had an absolutely insane run on eclipse 8 with insane item drops one after the other with power mode / double scrap and beat eclipse 8 on the first try. Power mode basically negates taking perma-damage on E8 most of the time

As the person who commented about Captain auto shooting being a form of cheating last video, I stand corrected. It’s interesting the devs don’t think it’s cheating, but I respect them giving their thoughts on it. Thanks for the clarification. On the topic of lunars though, I simply think the only change they need to make is to allow the host turn off the lunar shop, or restrict re-rolls. I like to host multiplayer games and it gets old when people with 9 trillion coins roll the shop until they get 4 gestures and a spinel tonic and we’re only on the 2nd stage. And as a request: would be fun to see some modded multitudes runs on e8 to switch things up a bit

I think it all kinda stemmed from my vocabulary I use when talking about lunars. I consider it a personal cheat. Just something I personally bar myself from using. I don't like the idea of walking into the bazaar and immediately getting an item that breaks the run, I personally feel like it's too similar to command. I think I've also just played so long that if I did that it'd end up immediately being a win. I like working hard for wins by making good decisions and practicing tech like captains shooting, for me that's what is fun, not choosing to pick the op item every time. The lunar shop takes me out of the game a little too much. I didn't mean to rag on your comment I just found it funny and something to talk about, the twitch audience is very different from youtube, they're more privy to how I feel about things and why. I also didn't want to start debates in my comments so I pulled back from that, but I always appreciate your input :) I also agree that the slab is a bit too far, even for normal players, it almost encourages players to cheat by even prompting the removal of thousands of coins per roll, just turn it off if you don't want players to use it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I've also done multitudes in the past, I wouldn't hold out for it coming back soon, there's probably vods up somewhere if you're really curious p.s. to whoever reading this, do whatever you personally find fun. dont do or something or not because I or anyone else says so :) p.s.s the devs are also allowed to change their minds in the future about speedshooting, i don't speak for them. that being said it doesn't influence my opinion of it either way.

As someone who has learned a lot from your videos and your commentary, as I play and learn the game more I find myself finally understanding some of your opinions and thoughts on certain things. I mean shoot I didn’t even know what Eclipse was until your videos. Now I’ve beaten e8 on 5 characters. So again, I do appreciate you clarifying your opinions and it makes sense why lunars would feel like cheating to you. But I agree, people should just do whatever they want to in order to have fun!

Race you are a master at this game. Seeing you just casually do that portal loader trick at the end as a "oh and btw" and earlier when you said "it's not like we're gonna lose anyways" when determining your build like... wow. I know there was a lot of cool rng in this run, but it takes skill to leverage almost any luck into a run that is not only winnable, but dominates.

so i have already commented this on another video of yours but i figured you're more likely to see the comment on the latest vid, but feel free to ignore this if you have already seen my comment. that being said, i have been struggling on e1 cap. i get plenty of items and usually get to mithrix around 30 minutes in, but keep dying to him. i use orbital strike and double hacking beacons. advice? Edit: to clarify i play on console and thus its pre-sotv mithrix

At my earliest I only ever get to mithrix at around 50 minutes. Eclipse 6 does have a gold debuff but even said I would encourage you to get all the items since going quick may be not working out for ya. It’s impossible to give good advice without seeing your gameplay but if you’re dying to mithrix you usually need more movement/other items/feather or to just learn his attack patterns a bit better

how do you do the loader tech where you charge up her shift and then use it after your grapple? (sorry if I didn't explain it well but you did a bunch during your mithrix fight and it looks useful)

you can only do this with charged gauntlet, just keep holding down shift. with thunder gauntlet it will force you to execute the punch after pressing or holding shift after a second or so
