Aware that this is a pretty old topic at this point, Race is wholly and completely correct about the full looting strat and I despise that, haha. As someone with about 400 hours and a good chunk into the E8 climb, I got walled after about five survivors at E8-just forgetting about the funny little timer has helped me immensely for getting back motivation to play ror2 and actually beat the climb. thank you man ♥️

Real as f***. I thought this game was gambling bs when I was playing for 4-5 minutes for the first 3 stages without fully looting. It's incredible how much impact every individual item can have regardless of how scaled up the enemies are.

The reason i completly gave up on rex eclipse climb is that my game would constantly crash after i used my shift on certain things and was like screw this character i got better things to do

This is a known problem unfortunately. Some people crash from it and some don’t. Hope that gets fixed eventually

If you use default m2 on an upward slope you get a big boost up, and it can be used to move a little faster early game

I recently started trying to do my merc climb, and I've learned how to do the tec and stuff, but I still don't like the way he plays. Rex and Merc are going to be hard not because they aren't good, but because I don't really like them

i literally could never catch a break with rex during my eclipse climb. if i got good damage items i got no speed. if i got speed i got no damage. if i got damage and speed i had no way to skip pillars and would get eviscerated by lunar wisps. i was stuck at e3 for 10+ runs until i said fuck it and cheated rex to e8. i have never been stuck on a character that badly before or since, and thats saying something considering i beat e8 commando and it only took me max 6 restarts per eclipse level.

dont understand why people take the secondary ult of the merc you lose Iframes

-AoE -More damage -Lets you use other abilities while it's active for even more damage -Applies expose to reduce other ability cooldowns for even more ability spam The downsides are obviously that you need to aim and you need to dodge more but once you're good at those it's definitely worth
