I just love this song so much. I remember listening to it after completing a Easter egg quest, I was mesmerized! Listening to it on a piano makes it even more emotional, if someday I have to opportunity, I want it to be played on my marriage :)

This was so beautiful! So haunting and empty (in a good way), so much so that it completely fits the original. This is the best version I have heard by far

Really nice. I could spend all day sight reading/learning all these Nier collections. Especially if the track resonates with me after playing the game. The vocals for this song sounds kind of French. Perhaps the harmony too, in a pop tradition rather than classical.
@10_Bit4 жыл бұрын
It's not French I can tell you that, I speak French. Although there are some French sounding "words" or I'd rather call them sounds/vocal noises. Since essentially they don't mean anything haha. In vague hope there was that one line in the very beginning if you're French it sounds "les rats nous cheri" if you translate it, it means "The rats our beloved" that doesn't make sense with the title and vibe. Btw it's just chaos language a mumbojumbo of Germanic, French, English and Japanese sounds mostly to convey emotions through a song.
@Fanchen4 жыл бұрын
10 Bit I notice they do this in the first Nier game as well, the ost with Popola and Devola singing. Another example is in Gravity Rush credit ost. Gibberish lyrics that evoke multiple languages at once.
@sonic4dawin433 жыл бұрын
@@Fanchen the language used in all the games soundtracks is actually an imagined language called "chaos" language. and it happens that french was one of the roots used to create it which is why a lot of the vocals sound the way they do.

very nice performance man. This was a very relaxing listen. About the way you described the piece though....I know what you mean by 'pretty much beginner-level' but perhaps it would be a tad bit more tactful to more accurately describe what you think of the piece's overall difficulty level so as to not alienate/demotivate your fans who revere your skills. I understand how easy it is for pianists who toe the line of virtuosity to begin seeing any piece that doesn't really present a significant amount of challenge to them as a throwaway beginner's piece however, but I dunno, it's just a suggestion, you're free to pay me no mind. You can also be extra attentive with the dynamics and be more creative with the way you shape the contours of the piece if stuff like this feels almost too easy to be worth your time - a beginner can play a Burgmuller etude or something and then someone like Yuja Wang would play exactly the same notes and it would naturally sound infinitely better =D. Keep up the great work with your [private] transcriptions, I eagerly await to see how you handle Bipolar Nightmare ;)

Duly noted. I only pray they release the sheet music before I try to figure out Bipolar Nightmare myself.

Im glad you didnt take my comment as attack [I lowkey love you rachmaster]. I just remembered how crushed I would feel back when I was starting out when those Kyle Landry-type pianists would perform Piano Collections pieces and basically have descriptions that were only marginally more tactful than a 'har har so I just finished recording this 13 page piece that I transcribed and learned in 5 minutes. Sorry that I played it in my sleep while being blindfolded and having one hand tied behind my back gaiz!' Im just like, 'Bitch, could you not please >:c' lol. Anyway, Bipolar Nightmare hurts my brain just thinking about what the sheet is going to look like but on the bright side, the piece is so accurately named that Im sure any pianist attempting to learn it would feel like the very title is taunting because Im sure its gonna make me have wicked mood swings and tear up the entire score at least a few times. Im not even going to be able to play it 'a tempo' either but the intro and the countermelody that the LH plays in the opening just feels incredibly badass and those diminished sweeps sound just as badass as they would sound on an electric guitar to me =D. Also, what do you think of Copied City O_o? Its a treat to listen to, beautiful in just about every way to me, it's totally my aesthetic but I feel like a few sections sound like you'd need three hands or at the very least, pull a Martin Leung and use a foot as well xD. The ending with the large maybe 4 or 5 octave lightning fast RH arpeggios, I think it started off with a sus 4 rip, the LH part seems to be playing some pretty fast accompaniment, perhaps 16th notes but I also hear the LH playing the main melody that the haunting chorus usually sings. Im very curious about how that will be written out - is the RH actually finding a way to play the countermelody by somehow finding and exploiting brief gaps before or after the completed 4/5 octave runs? Is the LH part maybe doing that instead or is it a more unique case where the RH and LH alternates turns in playing each note of an otherwise non disjointed sounding passage....sort of like in parts of Liszt's Un Suspiro? I understand, respect and admire your choice to not share your transcripts (despite the fact that it aches my soul greatly xD) but its not a problem to perhaps share your insight on how you think Copied City would look on paper...right? I also apologize for the wall of text though, unfortunately, you're the only person atm who seems as worked up about the Nier Automata PC as I am =D. Im guessing many people dont know that it exists yet. The first NieR PC was unexpected but this Automata one feels almost more unexpected for some reason despite all evidence heavily suggesting that an Automata PC was inevitable what with how hard the game was marketed this time as opposed to Gestalt/Replicant. There are some really impressive arrangements this time around, dont you think? Almost every piece is blowing me away in some aspect this time whereas with the original NieR PC, most of the arrangements felt bland to me, only the Ashes of Dreams one really intrigued me, it was a challenge but I actually learned it too! Twas so unexpectedly jazzy - a nice change of pace ^_^.

I think Copied City is done pretty well. As for the ending, it sounds as though the right hand is only playing the arpeggio, and the left hand has to take care of everything else. Again, I hope they release the sheets before I get around to it. There's an arrangement by Rozen & Reven of Copied City that is really astonishing, and has some really cool piano runs. I recommend you check it out.
