A Russian pair used this piece at the Winter Olympics in figure skating many years ago. I think it was back in the Soviet era. Only recently I found out it was by Rachmaninof. Now I can't get him out of my mind.

THE greatest of all the nocturnes and, quite possibly, the most beautiful piece of music ever written. Your performance is outstanding! Just superb... truly. There are a few things I'd do differently, but that's just me. Bravo!

This pianist is so pianistic suave; with his arrangements too. The waltz of the flowers has been one of my favorites since, I suspect, from my dear mother’s womb. Perhaps, ole Tchaikovsky was thinking mostly of roses while writing this masterpiece? Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm? PWG

I play piano and can play this song as well, but wow does this guy have the hands of a God, the sheer accuracy, swiftness, grace, professionalism, improvisation, and skill, is absolutely bar none phenomenal. This man has obviously put the time in to know his scales, sharps and flats to a "T". Well done. Hard work pays off. Thankyou for that stunningly beautiful, nastalgic and unforgettable piece of music.

Very lovely playing! Forgive me if I am a bother, but do you have any tips for training my fingers' strength evenly? I feel that I am lacking in my ring & pinky fingers & my thirds are definitely suffering from it. Any advice is greatly appreciated. 🙏

Did you like the NV10 you used to play in older videos? Did you find that it had some major negatives that could have deterred you from buying a digital/hybrid that expensive? Was the SK sound realistic? I already use VSTs since they sound better than what digital pianos come with, but do you think dropping $19,000+ on a newer NV10 one day would be worth it for the grand action feel since just getting an acoustic wouldn’t be possible. 👀

People who call this "old people music" are basically brain dead. There is a big difference between young vs young and dumb. It's like food... People only like what they know because they didn't give anything else a chance. In the case of romantic period music, ESPECIALLY nocturnes by Field, Chopin, and Alkan-- It's pretty safe to say nearly every single one is musically potent. A lot more potent than fake musicians who can't even sing, play an instrument, or do anything beyond faking it for their fans anyway. -Someone who has obsessed over music much older than this since I was a small child. P.S great example of Garritan CFX VST thanks for uploading! Been looking for some alternatives to my current options: Arturia v3, pianoteq, and pianoverse. Mostly very satisfied with pianoverse but i'm very impressed with Garritan CFX now. P.P.S Also an amazing performance to say the least. The context provided by your dynamic control is both beautiful and powerful. Bravo!

Your performance is wonderful. I haven’t played ff16 so I don’t know what to make of this piece. So much of gaming is the world building, the characters, the story and the emotional connection to this multimedia platform. So hearing this is very different than hearing your FF15 performances, because I did play that game. Thank you for sharing this and hope all is well with you.

OH HEY!!! 😍very honored you played my arrangement, LOVED THIS!!! haha good on ya for changing that Bb13 back to augmented with that F# at 2:40...lol I was just SO TICKLED that the regular Bb13 with the F natural made it sound kinda like old school Uematsu Melodies of Life so I made the change lol, but when I first started listening to your vid that was the FIRST thing I thought, like, I wonder if he's gonna change that back to a Bbaug13, it's definitely spicier that way lol besides being what was originally sung. Exquisite job as always!!! <3 <3 <3 thank you for this!

Is piano arrangement something that can be learned, or just by experimentation? I used to improvise hymn accompaniment, nowhere near any level of true excitement. I wonder if it’s too late for me. Jazz, for example, is definitely way too late. Nothing makes sense there.
@rach3masterАй бұрын
Thanks for listening to your own arrangement haha. I thought you might have misheard the melody so I just changed it back, and also accidentally changed the chord as well to outline the melodic notes, but it ended up sounding ok in the end anyway. I like that you gave the arrangement room to sound epic, as opposed to other piano covers that I've heard which were just soft and understated, which is nice for a sweet romantic version, but I feel is missing the power of the original vocal rendition.
@purpleschalaАй бұрын
@@RichardYangPiano lol dunno about other people but it’s 100% experimentation for me, just throwing stuff on the wall and seeing what sticks haha

@@rach3master When I first heard this interpretation, I haven't heard the FF16 soundtrack yet, but the portion corresponding to the vocal portion standed out to me. After hearing the soundtrack multiple times, I realized how well you have adapted the harmony and the atmosphere to the piano. What a great experience. All the more respect to you.
