We don’t know Matt personally. In the last episode of his season and after the final rose we saw 2 things about him that were red flags for a boyfriend. He can be a good person but not ready to be in a committed relationship 1) in the last episode he cancelled Rachel’s date without explanation and let her wondered for a day. 2) In after the final rose Michelle said after their breakup she requested to talk to Matt for closure which he denied her. Speaks volumes on how he was not sensitive to their feelings. Just my thoughts

They knew her past, Matt didn't, & he still refused, regardless, to get engaged…He was smart - not enough love there - producers "own" contestants while on the show & up until 2 years after. They manipulate story lines, dates & drama, while playing mind games; they lie & control who goes home, & in many situations, who the winner will be. This is another reason the success rate is so low. It’s more about ratings. Some are more capable of resisting, to a certain extent, than others. Ex: Juan Pablo resisted & he was ridiculed... Colton wanted Cassie, who was not into him; producers wanted her for the next bachelorette & encouraged her to leave. Colton lost it & jumped the fence … BTW, Where was this backlash when Jason got engaged to Melissa, dumped her, then went after his 1st runner-up Molly, the one he wanted all along?

Why should lady Rachael Kirkconnell be so heartbroken and devastated? The first obstacle in their evanescent relationship was the racially insensitive photos that resurfaced online, while season 25 was still airing. Then poor Rachael had to endure coup de grace on after the final rose. Let me now end my anfractuous comment with the immortal words of Rumi on love: "Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it". Also, man must love God with all his heart and strength....I personally don't value romantic love as anything worthy of who we really are. My heart goes out to Lady Rachael nonetheless. She will rise from these ashes of anguish into pure azure of freedom and light. She will soar the cerulean sky like the age-old Phoenix....

I feel like I'm missing something for anyone to be getting mad at Matt. While there were pics of them hanging out, there were also pics of Tyler leaving Hannah's place *in the morning* then dating Gigi Hadid immediately after... right? Matt has far more reasons to be fickle about her, since Hannah's worst crime against Tyler was that he was second runner up when Matt is dealing with...Oh yeah, actual racism, lol. This also all feels weirdly a lot like the end of Hannah's season... like maybe a little too orchestrated ;) I also kind of question how nice of a person Rachel is considering the girls she chose to hang out with in NY, most of them were pretty mean on the show.

Not trying to defend him at all... but he has a dad who doesn’t believe in love... and a mom who now believes in it even less who he listens to without question. At his core I don’t think he’s a bad guy... but I think he just questions his own feelings a lot... and until he gets his self straightened out, he’s not going to be good for anybody.

I have been able to piece together what really went down between Rachael Kirkconnell and Matt James. After filming season 25 of the Bachelor wrapped, Both Rachael and Matt were deeply in love so to speak. Even after the alleged controversial photo of Rachael attending Old South Antebellum themed party resurfaced online, Matt still remained loyal to Rachael in the hope things would in future calm down a bit. The first sign of trouble was the excruciatingly dismal interview between Rachel Lyndsay and Chris Harrison. It became apparent to Matt that things had escalated too far than he would have loved. To salvage his image in such deplorable situation, he decided to call it quit with Rachael Kirkconnell. He was indeed still madly in love with Rachael but to carry on with her could cause big backlash from people of colour. Rachel at first was taken aback. She had been reassured by Matt and felt so confident their deep-seated would survive and outlast the raging storm of discontent brewing in the Bachelor Nation. She felt blindsided and sad. By the time ATFR was about to be aired, Rachael had lost so much weight! Matt's acting on the after the final rose was amazing and deserving of an Oscar Award! Rachael again reiterated her love for Matt. Post After the rose Matt and Rachael started communicating with possibility of rekindling their romance however this was to private- away from public glare! Two things broke the Camel's back. The repeated lies from source close to Matt that the reunion was all platonic and Grace Amarling entry into an already explosive atmosphere...

Just so you know, Scholastic book club is still going strong, in Canadian school systems at least. Never had the money to get books. But my mom would always make sure I had a dollar so I can at least get a bookmark. I loved those damn kitten and dolphin bookmarks!
