I'm kooky like Rachael and sort my food on the belt like all stuff that goes in freezer together, dairy stuff together, fresh veggies together, etc. This way the cashier puts alike stuff in the bags and when I get home I have everything already sorted. BTW, I buy bagged lettuce. Somebody said if they buy the mix with the red lettuce, she will re-bag her lettuce and pull all those out because those seem to go bad faster than the rest of the mix. She will then make a salad with all the red lettuce used in it right away. And always stick a paper towel in the bag or bowl and it keep fresher longer.

I don't like Farmers Markets. They almost never have prices on their merchandise and I don't like being surprised. Also I've heard many FM venders get their fruit/vegies from a third party and are not home grown.

I almost always buy the lettuce mixes (though I stick to the organics as they seem to be of a higher quality, the kinds that come in the 'clamshell'). I like to buy these not only for the convenience, but also because they are cheaper than if I bought all the types of greens separately and then combined them.

Theres always a compost bend to improve soil for a food garden as well as a flower garden that you can toss veggies that have started to go bad.

I clicked on this just because I wanted to see how many comments there would be talking about rachel needing to be quiet and to stop interrupting her guests--just as expected--I didnt even watch the video although the topic sounds interesting--U know what will happen---I will be listening to him for info,she will keep interrupting, I will get annoyed, will leave coment, nothing will change.

I would love to watch this video because I really enjoy this gentleman on all his ideas however I know it's just another episode that Rachael Ray is going to take over interrupt be rude not let him say what he's going to because he's the guest and it's her show so she always has to shine on makes me kind of sad. She needs to go let's get a new cook that has great ideas great Arts crafts style and let's the guest of the show really tell what they want to and we can learn a lot more from.

Penny Giller I hate squirrels. They are always running around in my walls and they have created some holes. They are so loud when they run on my roof that they sound like grown men.

In France, it is normal that pregnant women are allowed to jump to the front of the supermarket checkout, so a different strategy or simply patience would be required lol

I hope they're not encouraging people to buy iceberg lettuce, because it has very little food value. The dark, leafier lettuces are much better for you, even if they are in one of the mixed bags or boxes.

When you use self service checkouts . You are making staff redundant less self service checkouts is not okay
@aquariaaustin20775 жыл бұрын
We do. But some people still prefer the personal touch. And sometimes the person checkout is FASTER, because the self-checkout has people who don't know what they're doing, or the coupons won't ring up and you have to call someone over, or the scanners are super-picky about reading the bar codes, or your payment method keeps messing up--lots of things go wrong in self-checkout. Also, my husband works for a grocery store where we get an employee discount that requires scanning a card. I have to call someone over when I try to use it, every single time. It's annoying. I hardly ever use self-checkout, for all of those reasons.

i like how the camera director shows the sterotypical audience member after each comment type: 1. critters a re good in your food - shows black woman, 2. "asparaugus in the spring, tomatoes in summer and all winter long turnips n potatoes (shows 3 woman progressing in age and nationality) 3. "don't have to buy what they tell you - its not the law (ie don't be a dummy) - shows 3 blondes 4. 'and they got coupons!" (shows many different peeps to illustrate a line) LOL
