@@briannalee1998 I can't comment on Barry or Better Call Saul as I've never seen them, but I can subjectively say Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is much better than The Good Place. Don't get me wrong, I was obsessed with both shows, but CEG just has way more depth, better story continuity, and more relatable characters. The Good Place season 1 was great, very creative and intriguing. Season 2 was pretty good, not as good as season 1. Season 3 was all over the place - there, I said it. The show claims to be edifying, but only turns out to have a superficial layer of morals. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, on the other hand, started off bumpy and cringey, then moved on to being the most relatable and hilarious show, that can still perfectly execute the underlying message and themes regarding sexuality, love and mental illness (along with the ingeniously written songs).

I said once Hamilton has the greatest songs and nothing can get over it until I saw Crazy ex-girlfriend and I must say Rachel Bloom and the other songwriters have made the best thing possible in terms of "sing what you feel" and also the further you get in the show the funnier the songs actually are. 1. Crazy Ex-girlfriend 2. Hamilton p.s. I know they're both in different directions. Crazy Ex-girlfriend deserves at least a spin-off.

I loved the show, it's amazing, my sister was diagnose with bpd. I applauded, they talked about such painful difficult issues. The show is super funny and gets romanticized, but and reality, my sister spiral with a lot of drugs, sex, and alcohol addiction and she has two kids so my Mom couldn't take it any more and put her in rehab, because she was several times close to killing herself intentionally. I really don't know if there is a way that she can function without hurting herself, because they told us she has to take medications her whole life and she cannot mixed them with alcohol or recreational drugs. The emotional swings going from happy, sad, angry, afraid depression changes suddenly to the extremes swinging out of nowhere are super scary.

Unfortunately, it was Dr Phil, not Patti LuPone, Lea Salonga, Tovah Feldshuh, or any of the other legends who have guest-starred on the show. Also, the story that includes her crying (or almost crying) isn't interesting: it's basically, "Dr Phil, while playing himself on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, rejected the dialogue we'd written for him. Instead he spewed a bunch of Dr Phil-style spontaneous nonsense and Rachel Bloom thought this was awesome."
