All she literally has to do is just say she's white but adores black culture. My problem isn't that she's identifying with Black culture, my problem is that she's a big liar.

I don’t. They brought all of this on themselves. They did it as revenge on her, not because they thought it was right. I’m not saying what she did was right at all, and we know the many, many, many reasons why. But I found her parents weird, too. They are all suspect, IMHO.

I can tell from those early photos that she can't tan at all. She using some type of skin cream only on her face, neck, upper chest, and hands. "She certainly has lived the Black experience" ummm no. The only way to live "the Black experience" is to be a Black person, and experience your life through that lens. Wanting to be Brown or Black or liking the aesthetic of Brown or Black women is not the same as magically knowing how it is to be a POC
@D2014-u5i
@D2014-u5i 5 жыл бұрын
Deerwoman L'nu Trujillo the “black experience” is a cultural mindset. I am biracial but can’t say I’ve lived the typical “black experience” because I was raised with an entirely different mindset. Africans come here and can’t relate at all to the American “black experience.” Why? Because it’s is a cultural mindset that most black Americans are raised with. You can have black skin yet not be raised in this Mindset or relate to it at all.

The major issue for me is the benefits she received that were meant for black people as she paraded and charaded around as a black person. For all those who are trashing Rachel's parents - you do realize you're trashing them for being honest?? Rachel foolishly used a public platform to lie about her upbringing. By saying she: . ♦ Grew up poor in South Africa living in a teepee ♦ Hunted with bows & arrows for food ♦ Was abused by her stepfather ♦ Was abused by her mother because she was Black ♦ Her Black father was "forced to flee the Deep South after assaulting a White police officer" ♦ Her "father served in the Marines for 24yrs & 3 attempts were made on his life by White subordinates" ♦ "White supremacy groups in North Idaho burglarized every home they ever lived in". ♦ And countless other lies . . . It was only natural the press would search for the parents. Who are these people that lived this alternative lifestyle, were continually targeted by racial hate crimes, & who had abused poor Rachel! Rachel disowned every friend & family member she knew wouldn't lie for her but she got so comfortable lying she forgot her family had the integrity to tell the truth! Anyone who is condemning the parents for saying "Yes we are her biological parents" also needs to condemn Albert Wilkerson for saying "No, I'm not her father"! ETA: Rachel was married in 2000 but her husband divorced her 4yrs later claiming she was a pathological liar & was brainwashing / poisoning their son against him. Surprised??!!

The only difference between this and Clayton is noone ever told Clayton he was black. Society told Clayton he was white, and that blacks were bad, thus black KKK member. Rachel told herself she was black. Now I think she knew/knows she's not. But I'm going to guess that there is some kind of trauma in her that made this black identity more palatable than the truth of whatever happened to her. This doesn't feel like fraud. Why is everyone so quick to claim appropriation. This is someone who felt strongly enough about something that she was willing to change her entire life for it. She’s not making a mockery of black people she just happened to like it. I personally see it the same as being transgender. You wouldn’t ask a person who’s gone trough the trouble of changing their gender identity to tell everyone they meet their what gender they were born as, so she shouldn’t have to either. People need to just calm down and learn to except others differences.

Normal Norma - the problem here is that she profits from her lie, by being the head the the NAACP, leading black studies classes, selling African themed art, all while totally misleading people. you should be up front if you're going to do that. a male to female transgender person probably wouldn't preside over womens groups or teach womens study classes without disclosing the fact that the aren't in fact a biological woman. This woman also lies about having identified as a black person her whole life, and tell lies about her parents. she hesitates before answering direct questions because she is a dishonest person.

I don't get it. Why does she get ridiculed for thinking that she is black even though she's not, but transgenders can say that they are male even though they are female or vice versa?

I hope you're joking right now...it's a problem because she has lied and impersonated and tried to make money and a success out of a fake life! Can you imagine someone impersonating you and claiming to know and have gone through the struggles of being who you are without your choice everyday? There's nothing wrong with admiring Black culture or wanting be a part of it, but there is a line where people shouldn't completely claim that culture as their own! She is privileged and doesn't have to go through the real struggle of being a Black women in the US or in the world , while claiming the struggle and speaking over real Black women's voices who deserve to be heard! Society has tried to shut down our voice for too long and this is another example of it

@@timetravelingjukebox no, no, I know why it's a problem. Ur on point. But from everything I see, they're not talking about how she faked her identity and used race as a way to be successful. She should be held accountable for that. But they are making fun of her by saying she's delusional and really want a to be black. If she thinks she's black,(which I don't think she is) then why are people being hostile to her for thinking she's black and not the fact that she faked her identity? Why isn't the same energy being held towards transgenders? To make things clear, I have no problems with transgenders. I just find the case her very similar. Will another transracial person be ridiculed because they think they are this race, or will the be accepted like the transgender community were?

So you telling me there's no difference huh. Her blackness is ah mf performance. Its not who tf she really is. Her gender defines who she is. If there was no difference then everybody can identify as white & end racism. Or am I wrong🤔🤨 Dumbass
