Ok, seems I'll be the first to comment, this time...No matter what video of Rachel I watch, and I've seen a lot over these last years, I am always so impressed by her talent, specially when it comes to play Keith Emerson's music (but not only). She has a wonderful technique, but is so far from being a "technical robot" like I've seen here and there. She plays with her heart, as one can see it in most of her other videos, and that's what makes her performances stand out. I've seen that she has made a record of her own compositions, and I guess I will buy it, as I have been curious for a long time to hear what her "internal world" would sound like. But as an old Keith Emerson's music lover, all I can say is : Keep on, Rachel, Keep Keith's music alive, you are the best one for it.

Just to add that Rachel's album 'Listen' is great and well worth the money. She plays all the instruments, yet it sounds like a real band playing with her. I recommend it unreservedly.

Keith actually got stuck on how to finish Piano Concerto #1. Then his house burned down, and he wrote the Toccata con Fuoco as a big "F*** you" to that awful misfortune. After reading that in the liner notes of the "Works Vol. 1" CD, I listened again, and sure enough, it *does* sound like a house fire....fire trucks and all! The saddest thing about listening to this piece is the knowledge that there will never be a Piano Concerto #2 by Keith Emerson. But yes, Rachel Flowers will continue to make our jaws drop!

How lucky we are that Keith left us this work. It's a fine legacy to Emerson as a composer. Back in '77, 'crossover' pieces like this were rare and often not that great, but there's a lot to be proud of in the piece itself; the structure, the intricacies of the scoring, the jazz licks!. The smile on Jeannie's face when the last theme starts at 5:18 folliwed by the bells 😊And how lucky we are to have Jeannie Flowers to keep Keith's music alive. Great performance!

Keith never came to finish his 2nd Pianoconcerto, but this 1st one has been performed more than once already and its becoming legendary. Toccata con Fuoco (with fire): the burning down of his villa in Sussex 1975. Now we have the (musical) fire by Rachel.

Jeanie thanks for uploading this video. As a lifetime Keith Emerson fan dating back to the Nice (yes I`m old) I was crushed by Keiths passing. Thank God for your wonderful daughter who is keeping his music alive. I would also like you to tell Rachael that she is as close to perfection in her playing of Keiths music and believe me I know every note! Her style is so Keith its wonderful. I`ve always been a Rachael fan since discovering her on you tube and now she`s my go to for Emerson. To the Emerson family my sympathy I cry with you, but at the very least God has blessed us with Rachael Flowers so we can still hear Keiths music in all its splender. RIP Keith God Bless!

As much as I love Keith Emerson, this is actually a smoother rendition than Keith gave us on Works. Rachel rocks!

I feel it's much slower and sluggish compared to other performances, not just Emerson's. Her playing is remarkable, but the orchestra and conductor are holding her back. I'm not a musical authority, however. It could be the quality of this upload. 😕
