Peter can /would propose to Rachel, if he was truly feeling her. Engagements take time, meaning you don't have to get married tomorrow. Engagement for Rachel is proof that at least the guy she picks is seeing a possible future with her. People are blinded by their Peter love.

Tootallqaf honestly I’m with you, I watched their break up and thought he was the one for her but nahh. An engagement can be broken if it doesn’t workout, all he had to do was show her he was all in and committed to her.

@@kkhotie1 you don't need an engagement to do that. it should be a special moment. I get that's the purpose of the show but not going thru it does mean he wasn't serious. now rachel and bryan are getting a divorce

Her career came first. She started a new career and had to grind. It’s near to impossible to get married and start a new career at the same time. Both needs your attention and time. In the end one will be looked over. And unfortunately she had to pay the bills and keep them afloat, hence their marriage could not survive

I hate to go there, but I appreciate Peter's mother's candor. Equally important, I am are that Rachel did not consider shacking up with a no -melinated man and producing illegitimate children, or doing so with any man for that matter.

I agree wholeheartedly with you. I wouldn't shack up either. Rachel is classy, intelligent, educated, pretty, and comes from a very good family. Heaven forbid if she were to go on national television and select a man who refuses to marry her, but will produce offspring with her. Yuck!. Nobody has time to get involved in those slavery-era dramas. We all know how the season ended. Kudos to Rachel and Bryan.

I feel like during this episode he wanted to say Im falling in love/I'm in love with you but he was scared. Example when they were sitting on the steps in front of the house just looking at eachother

Well, in all honesty, her candidates were not ready to be married and neither was she. If she was ready she wouldn’t have focused so much on a new career. If you’d listen to Peter’s interview 5 months ago, his relationship with her would’ve probably failed because after the Bachelor Covid hit and he lost all his businesses. He was in a very different space hence I think his relationship with Rachel wouldn’t have weathered that storm. And her marriage with Bryan is unfortunate. Building a new career in a new state with no connections can be tough. He didn’t have the clientele or track record to follow him from one state to the next. I think if his career had to be as successful as hers, they would’ve worked out because she is seeking a successful man who can provide. She’s saying this in all her interviews. And that makes sense, you don’t want to ge the sole provider as a woman carrying all the weight. It’s tiring and stressful. Wishing them both well. She should’ve taken the career without the husband.

This is why I say she still made the right choice between the two. I don't know for sure what went wrong in Rachel & Bryan's marriage, BUT at the time, knowing what she knew, it made a lot of sense for her to pick Bryan over Peter. & Peter accepted that. It would be nice if Bryan & Rachel could reconcile, simply becuase they made those vows to eachother, but they would probably both have to change & make some sacrifices, & I'm also going to add that putting Christ first would be a good start.

he was genuinely the most honest man out of the 4 that really thinking about this rationally. I know the end goal is a proposal but I like his perspective about this experience. this is a normal reaction. Rachel herself said she afraid that she may send the wrong person home. they are both thinking along the same lines.

Still can't believe she didn't pick him because he wouldn't propose after just a few weeks - after she had been dating a bunch of other guys. Proposing is a HUGE deal and that kind of commitment should happen naturally over time when two people really get to know each other and move in that direction. Granted this is a TV show, but I felt like him wanting to get to know her better and not jump into a proposal was actually being responsible and fair to himself and Rachel. Oh well...
