Chancellor Rachel Reeves announces cuts to plug a £20bn black hole in the public finances, but no tax rises, a minister has said.
Cabinet Office minister Pat McFadden said the public “shouldn’t expect tax announcements” in her speech before Parliament on Monday.
Ms Reeves will lay out the results of a Treasury spending audit she commissioned, accusing the Tories of “covering up the true state of the public finances”.
