Richards should stand for Westminster parliament as clearly the parties (on all sides) do not have a clue what they are doing! As an 80 year old on a modest pension things are becoming rather scary! We live in Scotland where it sometimes gets really cold over the winter months and I'll be voting SNP from now on. I suspect a lot of people in Scotland will be going back to calling for independence after being hoodwinked again by Tory 2.

Great show as always and another fantastic, ass kicking guest. Richard is highly rated in my opinion. I enjoy reading and listening to him, very eye opening with great perspective on how things are and how they could be. I think his advice should be heeded a lot more or if it is at all. Scot Gov need to stop listening to people like Andrew Wilson, who lets face it has no plan for a free Scotland, he's to scared and with very timid proposals which get us nowhere. Free Scotland is the change we need, the Republic of Scotland is the best future for us. Launch the Scottish Dollar (SD) on day one! Political model based on Ireland with elected head of state, now thats exciting!

Great explanation from Richard Murphy about the removing of the heating allowance in Scotland. Disgraceful! Especially when Scotland provides the energy and British Governments remove it for their own benefit! Our pensioners should be provided with a higher pension and lower energy prices.

Here's my solution for pensioners born before April 1952 who are on the basic state pension and not claiming pension credits. Give them a unique £300 voucher number on their annual pension statement which they can use if needed as a payment directly to their energy company.
