I think that's what makes it so funny. If you tried that with someone else, told them that the test was negative to test them on how they feel about having a baby, and they breathe a sigh of relief revealing that they never wanted a baby, and then you have to tell them that you were lying, then that'd be incredibly awkward!

We all know about Courteney Cox’s on fertility struggles, but we should also be aware of Jennifer Aniston’s own struggles. She tried everything she can to have a baby with Brad Pitt, and had to watch him have children with Angelina Jolie, while she was painted as a selfish person for not wanting kids. She finally opened up about this and I give her so much credit for maintaining grace, despite all the gossip.

So she tried "everything" you think but her husband was clearly not opposed to adoption etc. After he left he said fatherhood was everything he ever wanted ( he was a jerk but still... ) After the divorce she spent her life filming mediocre projects and holidaying and getting plastic surgery but sure, she tried "everything". I don't think she was obligated to have kids. But she carried on pretending for quite a while. Maybe they could have discussed this issue before the wedding of the century....

Honestly, it was easy to deduce the father was Ross from the very beginning because of how calm and confident Rachel is about her pregnancy. Considering the hysterical she can be about things, and that she didn't have a boyfriend at the time, in no way she would be so calm, and confident and also happy, if she thought she could be some kind of single mother, but with Ross she knows will always be supported and her child loved.

@@darth_kal-el I watched it week to week years ago, when wasn't confirmed the father yet, and I thought since the Monica weeding, when Rachel knew about her pregnancy, that her reaction wasn't normal in her at all, unless Ross was the father... She was sooo cool, so mature, so confident... let's remember she was usually a mess about things she didnt control, but her reaction was the coolest about this matter, and the way she was really sad when at first thought the test was negative...so she wanted to be pregnant...Rachel totally cool and totally wanting to be pregnant, although she didn't even have a boyfriend? Come on, she was afraid of telling her father about his pregnancy although the father was Ross, do you imagine her telling her dad that baby father was just some random guy she met? She would be mad if that were the case, but with Ross being the father... well, her reaction makes sense

This is one of my favourites moments ever; and it's one that show perfectly the total show's esence. I mean, Rachel tried to keep secret her pregnancy, not just cuz she isn't sure (or for don't steal Monica's thunder in the wedding); but she is actually really freakes out about that. Nonetheless, when the girls find out the true, they don't jugde her and they support her in all moment🥺🥰❤️. Definitely, one of the BEST and sweetest moments P. S. Their hug in the end💓💓💓

As much as I did not like Phoebe very much while watching I think this was more or least an experience. For Phoebe has helped others who cannot get pregnant and maybe there have been some parents who may SAY they want a baby but they don’t react or show emotion they way they should. And Rachel who has made bad or poor decisions and choices it would be the WORST thing for the child. But when she reacted in sadness cuz she showed and said the things that a MOTHER would say. “Why am I crying over something I never had?” Rachel CAN make the right choice. So emotional, and feel all at once on a baby that hasn’t grown yet inside her. It means Rachel is reacting LIKE A MOTHER would. So, good for Phoebe on her experiment as a success~
