i have to agree with you for any song in any concert, musical or something wait til the song is over then cheer and clap as much as you like... besides for some people maybe its their first time seeing that show and i feel bad that they cant hear the talented people that make the shows so amazing to watch!! btw i love Rachel as well and believe it or not i actually said hi as got she on the bus for something backstage while i was waiting for my cab to take me back to my hotel... she was so nice and signed my ticket it changed me for good what can i say hehehe!!

I don't think I'll ever be over that performance, no doubt that Rachel is my favourite Elphie too! I was stalls row W and the cheering wasn't too loud from where I was sat but I agree with you;please let us hear the riffs to the end and then cheer as loud as you want 😂 the people near us were reading the program in the interval and had no idea what was going on whilst I was in tears 😩so glad I got to meet her but she will definitely be missed, Wicked won't be the same x

Rachel is my number one, too. My last time seeing her was in New York, it was a bad experience in general- and Rachel wasn't the same as I remembered so I vowed that it would be the last time I saw Wicked, and so I didn't go and see her during this London run, but from my memories back as far as 2010 she was phenomenal and left me tingling all over- because of that she will always hold the crown. Funnily enough the final time I saw her in London was the last night of her first London run, and I totally agree with you about the disrespectful screaming... people can't hold on until the end of the note, let alone the song, and I'll never know why. It's that, and the overwhelmingly bad theatre etiquette in general, that have put me off going to the theatre more and more, I used to see a couple of shows a week and now I'm lucky if I see a couple of shows a year. I'm enjoying you speaking your mind, maybe if more people started speaking out about all of this it would come to an end, but I won't hold my breath though - please let us know if you notice a change so I can return to the theatre!

Oh I'm so sorry you had such a bad experience the last time you saw her :( But at least she's still your favourite! Those people seriously frustrate me and yeah, I'm not afraid to talk about it haha. Thanks for doing your bit, it's mind blowing that people need these obvious things explained to them. One of the worst things about Wicked Broadway was the people next to me- no one mourns the wicked started and the couple next to me were loudly talking to each other so I had to tell them to be quiet, and then they thought it was appropriate to snap back and get upset and shout at me like I was the one in the wrong... unbelievable, and these were in the most expensive seats in the place!

When I was at Jessica Vosk's first night on Broadway, there was a lot of screaming especially during DEFYING GRAVITY. I know how you feel. People do get very excited especially when "Elphaba" takes off. It happened 4 times this past Monday. 1. When Elphaba stands up after Glinda puts the cape around her 2. When she takes off...….IT'S MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! 3. Her first BRING ME DOWN!! 4. The ending.... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH! So many people at Stage Door filled with people who drove all the way from across the US (who saw Jessica on tour) came to see her first Broadway performance.

Totally agree with everything you said! It was pretty funny talking to 1st timers who were asking "What is going on tonight?" so I get what you mean about the audience. Really glad I went to Friday and Saturday just so I could enjoy the vocals on the Friday.

I am so glad I got to see Rachel at least once, but I am also pretty excited to see Willemijn again. She just has a special place in my heart, cause she was the first Elphie I ever got to see (as I am German). Next month I will finally be back in OZ! :D

It was a great view especially DG it seemed like Rachel was close to been that High although I wasn't central and at the side was a great seat and in my life have never experienced a night like that before and don't think I ever will and that was my 2nd time of seeing the show and Rukaya you were spot on with what you said about Rachel been the best x

A cast change show is certainly a special one and I kinda feel sorry for people who are seeing the show for the 1st time not knowing it's CC! The atmosphere is electric and if they come back to the show after that they could be disappointed with the normal atmosphere 😂

+sugarcane0000 personally yes I think she's done with Wicked now - I could be wrong and she could surprise us but after the years she's done plus ticking Broadway and being Elphaba for the 10th Anniversary off her list, I think she's happy to call it a day!
