As stated in this video, Snow White is of German origins (aka, The Brothers Grimm). She is described in the story as having hair as black as coal, skin as white as snow, and lips as red as blood. The dwarves are described as "seven little men". Also, in the story, the prince doesn't become aware of her until she has been sleeping from the effects of the poison apple for several years. The prince is so enamored by her beauty that he wants to keep her at his castle so he can gaze upon her beauty. He has her glass coffin transported to his kingdom. Along the way, the men carrying it drop it which dislodges the bite of poison apple and Snow White awakens. There is no "true love's kiss". As I recall the story, she's only SEVEN years old when she's taken into the woods to be k!lled. It doesn't make clear how long she's out there before she takes a bite of that poisoned apple.

Low budget, high level story, decent acting, sell via a Streaming website. Yeah it's not Rocket science is it. Plus everyone shows children the 1937 cartoon version of snow white and the seven dwarfs, which is why it's called a classic. The storyline, plot, characters don't need to be changed at all. It's so iconic just spend the money on getting scenes, dances and other stuff as close to the 1937 version as possible and film goers will be happy. It wasn't just the animation that got the film an Oscar because if all the other stuff I said wasn't right no one would have gone to watch it simple as.

I just want to point out what many people are missing here. Snow White didn't clean out the house because she was subservient to men in her role. She did it, because she thought that a group of orphans were living there, and she wanted to help for those children who weren't even able to clean up their homes, due to their poor situation. A lot of other comments pointed out that her main important trait is her kindness. The issue with this version for me is the fact that she waits for the dwarfs to come home, then orders them around with a happy song to clean their own home, while she fully knows that these adult men spent the whole day doing back breaking mining work, without possibly eating anything, and yet she still almost berates them for not cleaning their home when they live with a work like that. That's what Rachel missed. Being pretty wasn't Snow White's most important trait, although that was the queen's reason to kill her. Her kindness was what made her beautiful. 2:10 "She's dreaming about becoming the leader she knows she can be." By ordering her tired and overworked followers to work more? The dwarfs didn't simply let Snow White stay with them because she was pretty or demanding! She was showing her help and kindness and CARE towards them, what was genuine! Isn't this trait the one what a future queen should have towards her subjects?

The thing is, whether or not Rachel Zegler is actually a good actress might not be relevant for her future in the film industry.
