I love Dawn! I love when you collab with her!❤🎉 She’s so chill and real. 😊 I think one of the most influential things she ever said was “our kids are drowning in stuff and starving for attention.” That really resonated with me! Helped me realize the best gift I can give is my presence ❤

Dawn is the reason I started decluttering! Love her! And I swear, it doesn't matter if I've listened to her for 2 whole years, I get new little nuggets all the time! Her saying she would feel lazy, because she should be organizing. It really hit me, that if the house is picked up, it's clean, I don't have "chores" or tasks, I can sit down and binge watch tv and NOT feel lazy about it. I feel lazy when there are pending tasks to do. If there are no pending tasks, I'm just relaxing.

Yesss me too! Same! She’s helped me SO MUCH! I’m older and I think WOW- if ONLY I knew this in my 20s and 30s - but now I share with the younger people in my life and tell them how helpful and LIFE CHANGING decluttering and leaving a minimal life is! AND BUDGETING???!!! Nobody taught me this we just learned this a few years ago as well and it’s CHANGED OUR WHOLE WAY OF THINKING! We also share this with people and have seen others change their lives as well! Thank You Rachel and Dave because of you all I CAN SLEEP AT NIGHT AND BREATHE and not feel OVERWHELMED!

She would, particularly with her own debt free Ramsey journey/ origin story. But she has had enormous success on her own, I don't think they could entice her down to Nashville. I love Nashville, we don't live that far from Nashville, but Dawn loves where she lives near her family. They should bring her on though as often as possible , she is truly wonderful.

Dawn, You are so right about how kid's brains develop. I worked in early childhood for over 40 years in child care and as a public school prek-k teacher. I could always tell the kids who had been allowed to play with open ended materials. They had more confidence to try new activities and were generally more motivated to learn. AND thank you for all the great decluttering and organizing advice. Now that I am retired I am making great progress editing our 51 years of inventory and have gotten some of my family members on board with decluttering too.

True. One of my favorite groups on Facebook is the group of us who are working on paying off our house faster. We all understand each other and don’t make frivolous purchases. We’re under $25,000 and hope to pay it off this December. Gazelle intensity.🙏🏼👍🏻

As a Dad/parent, I declutter a few times per year, but after-Christmas is definitely one of the bigger efforts. "Tough decisions" is right. I remind the family that anything "new" entering the home, means you get rid of something else/things we already have..It piles up quickly. Clutter/objects tend to be a burden/overwhelm you(or others in your home)

We are grand and great grandparents at age 73 have a large family room where we cook and play and relax while watching them play with toys that our two sons had. They are now 50 and 41 now. Creative toys: Lincoln Logs, Legos, Popiods, dinosaurs, cars, trucks, dolls, stuffed animals, paper, tape, glue, stickers, markers, crayons, scissors. We have a toy cave under the stairs where they can drag out and play with it all. But they must return before they leave. Relax and let them create.

My grandparents have 2 sons and have a toy cave under the stairs as well. :) When we visited last summer, we took the first great-grandson down to check out all the tractors and toys we remembered playing with as children. :)

I love Dawn and the colabs with her. I'm proud of myself, I just finished bringing down AND put away all decorations into storage. I feel so good that is completed. I love Christmas decorations but this year I go back to work on Tuesday and I already felt so overwhelmed. Amazing how much stress having that completely has been reduced.,,and now we start to focus on taxes,it never ends and clutter really increases our workload.

Forgot to mention decorations were brought down and packed away in 20 minute increments and focused one room at a time. I was so doable and stressfree. When I finished a room, I would treat myself by watching KZbin for a set timed amount.

I love Dawn! She is so inspiring so this year I really had a declutter break free😅. I decluttered on and off my whole life but a bit more intense since 2018. I'm pretty immune to commercials now because I donated practically all of those super gadgets most of them were for relaxing and I didn't use them. And "SALES" they don't call to me either. Just imagining all those people in the stores😱😱makes me cringe. And a lot of my sales purchases in the past I NEVER wore. Like NEVER. My cousin asked me several times for going shopping now but I have no desire and I only need some black low cut pants, which is a bit difficult at the moment, everything is high waist (high waist impacts my mood not in a good way (I get only SLIGHTLY AGGRESSIVE)). I did buy a blazer on sale on Monday but I was looking for a blazer and that's the only thing I bought, so that's o.k. So if it's not on my shopping list or I wouldn't pay full price for an item I'm not gonna buy it just because it's on sale. And after decluttering there isn't much to organize and all those bins and baskets aren't all necessary. And I spent SO MUCH less money with having less stuff. 🤩 It's a win win win. I feel better, have more money and tidying my apartment takes about 10 minutes (excluding the kitchen😉😂 that would add another 20min but it's been an hour at least before decluttering)

I got completely out of debt earlier this year. Now, if I use a credit card, it is for a purchase or purchases that I can pay off in the next couple months. I feel so much better being debt free... It is freeing, in a way

@@carolryg7293 I know... I probably didn't pay much over $20 in interenst this year. And my credit score (FICO) is over 820... Not too shabby for somebody that was head over heels in debt a few years ago...

And... if you time things right, you will have more time... Say you are starting with a zero balance, if you charge something on the first day of a billing cycle, you won't even get billed for 30 days, then you should have anyplace from 15 to 30 days to pay it with no interest..You gotta make your money work for you...
