for ME…this is a seriously needed video. You are honestly the only planner how-to creator that I can relate to and actually use what you teach! It’s also reaffirming to see how it works in good and rough times. Right now I’m in a phase of bigger life changes and challenges to my well being than regular times. Your acknowledgement of real life and realistic approach are motivating and this makes you unique in the creator world. Thank you!

Back here again. This is my favorite planning video anyone has ever made. As my life gets more complicated, I crave the simplest thing. I had always used a cousin, but your videos convinced me to try the weeks and it’s bliss. Makes me feel like things can’t be that overwhemling on a given week: here they are on just 2 tiny pages.

I actually finally figured out it's better for me to plan my next week on Wednesday. I'm more energetic and motivated. I do it on my lunch break during the work day so I am in work mode. Also it give me an idea going into our weekly staff meeting that happens on Wed what time I will be able to allocate to action items that will illuminate in the meeting.

That's so amazing, thank you Rachelle! Its so simple but very insightful! For all who are in blank notebooks: you can help yourself and create all weeklies in advance for a month. Maybe even without deco, just the general layout. So you can really jump straight into planning even if you are tired

I struggle with putting everything in one spiral notebook. Ideas, thought, ahas etc. However once I turn the page I forget what I wrote. I recently started following Tiago Forte and his 2nd Brain. I’ve been struggling between Notion and Trello. In fact last night I was looking for ways to create a paper trello board. It’s great to see a young person still use paper.

@8:25 Thanks, Rachel, for making the distinction between Resolving and Reviewing. Reviewing involves reflecting and deep thinking, which can be a slow, time-consuming process that is not action oriented. One can end up sitting with thoughts all day.

Does it ever bother you to look at work tasks on the weekend? I struggle with putting work and personal together because I don’t want to think about those items when I’m not actually working. Maybe I’m too rigid on my boundaries.
@Jessica_Uchiha Жыл бұрын
I’m the same way. I can check my email from my phone but I’ve now learned to turn off notifications so work isn’t intruding into my personal life. I keep a work inbox list and a work monthly calendar in my planner in a separate section. That way, the big things are there and my tasks are there if I ever need a reference. I only look at it during work hours… usually first thing in the morning before I start my workday then edit when needed while working.

I've watched several of your videos, and I really like your approach. Especially the 'resolve last week' step is much more helpful to my way of thinking and moving through my days than a "weekly review" - thanks for your clarity in describing it.

Currently watching some Weeks videos as inspiration to improve my current system & I totally agree about the habit trackers! I've come to realize that at best they're wasted space, at worst they make me feel bad if I didn't do certain things - so definitely won't be including them going forward. Really helpful video! 😊

Great system. And I am wondering how many women need multiple planners? I was just in the Container Store and in Target, looking at physical planners. They include family planners (for activities), meal planners, self care planners, journals and that doesn't even include all the digital habit trackers, food and activity trackers...and more. This system is great -- and it feels like it works for women who have more control over their energy and time than many women I hear from. Genuinely want to learn from this community--Rachelle is so practical and smart I know all of you must be as well. How do you handle planning all the different parts of your life, and integrating that in something that doesn't become another job? ♥

I do something kinda similar. I write in all of my appointments and plans from my monthly (and double check that there aren’t any on my apple calendar that didn’t make it into the monthly) and then copy over any todos that I didn’t get done from the previous weekly. Most of my todos aren’t on my weekly so it usually doesn’t take too long 😊. The thing that gets me sometimes is if I haven’t printed the page yet so I try to make sure I always have extras already in my planner. Right now I’m going through a redesign so I don’t want to make too many extras because it’s getting adjustments many weeks so it’s been tougher than usual on Sunday 😅

I am amazed at how much more attractive and inviting the planner looks with the stickers. Full disclosure, when you showed them, I wasn't interested at all. But the layout looks so clean and pretty! It's Tuesday and I hurt my back on Sunday, so no planning was done, but I do feel inspired now!

What electronic planning tools, specifically habit trackers, do you recommend that are free? I saw a good one on an insta ad that I thought I took a screenshot of but it cut off the name. It looked like the electronic version of what your habit tracker looks like . I don’t plan creatively, Definitely for function and I’m super austere about it, so it’s fun to watch these lol 😆 it’s nice to see my habits are what true planning professionals use. I do a monthly Brain dump and thought I only did that. The normalization of it makes me feel sane and not crazy 😊

This is like the ONLY video I could find that shows how to setup a weekly planner! It’s so frustrating to see how to do a weekly review or planning and then they whip out a daily planner. I need to spend less time planning and more time doing at this point. I don’t have time to do deep reviews and planning! Ugh!!! Anywho, my light in the dark has finally arrived 😮💨. My only question now is what is your workflow like each day after you’ve setup your planner and it’s time to use it to get things done. Do you start with the top tasks for the day or do you start with the priorities section? And how do you make time for tasks in the “tasks” section?

Hello! I love your channel and I'm really glad that I found you! I'm new to planning to this extent. Normally I would just use a planner from office depot, the pocket size. The only other planner I have is my budget planner. I would love to have a catch all planner and I think that the Hobonichi Weekly will be great for me. I only have that one planner and I’m looking for how. To have some memory and get things done and be productive. More the one book messes with me. The daily I was using as a journal. Anyway, thanks for answering and helping. Also…. Night shift ideas.. maybe lol Again, thanks

I initially used weekly planning but decided to go with a Hobonichi Original next year, because I always been using the weekly day by day anyways. The thing is - I work on an unregular schedule and I do time tracking so I need a timeline somewhere. I did once think a simpel bullet journal would be something for me but I do quite a lot of planning ahead and I don’t wanna draw out an entire quarter in one go, so I think that the original Hobonichi is a good fit, where I don’t need any extra weeklies, even though I do a regular weekly plan

The "Hobo" part I understand as I don't really do much planning on paper and just react to life out of instant gratification and random impulse buys throughout my day. As for the rest of it, "Nichi" - It's like finding your niche in business and making money; one must plan and organize each hour of the day so you set things in place for you to accomplish or someone else will determine your fate for you. Such an important lesson, but easily overlooked; but a lot of times life is just randomness and being able to enjoy the moment. I have no idea how people can plan so specifically what they exactly want to do each hour of the day and is it really THAT IMPORTANT to the individual? Well, don't be like me - Don't be a hobo; Get going and buy a Hobonichi today!
