Thanks teacher Rachel and husband David for explaining us the mean of each familiar idiom. It is so gratificant to learn and distinguish the use of them. Blessings.

Owww why does your family live in different states? It would be interesting to know the story behind your family. I hope you can make a podcast about it.

Hi, Rachel, I have a question: When I listen to the song "When We're Together", which is from Disney animated short film "Olaf's Frozen Adventure", I heard they pronounced the word "together" as "/tuˈɡeðər/", which theoretically should be "/təˈɡeðər/", Is it a way to emphasiz the word "together" while singing, or I have some misunderstanding about the sound "/ə/"?
@rachelsenglish16 сағат бұрын
Due to the rhythms and musical lines of songs, sometimes the standard conversational pronunciation of the English is changed to make the vowels easier to sing, or stretch the words over the notes more comfortably. Singers often modify schwas into other vowels for singing.

Hey Rachel, Loving the content and hope you continue to smash it in 2025 - just thought I'd reach out to see if you'd be interested in being a guest on my channel in an informal interview/chitchat? Looking forward to hearing from you, thank you :)

Please speak more slowly. 🙏 It's hard for beginners to understand

Thank you for your feedback @abdellahab865! 🙏 We understand that learning English as a beginner can be challenging. We'll keep this in mind for future videos and try to slow down where possible. In the meantime, feel free to use the playback speed option on KZbin to slow down the video-this can be very helpful. Keep practicing, and don't give up!
