I've noticed this in all of your snack videos, u have such a good little eater!!!!! Man I wish! You may able to avoid cracking in the dough of the apple bars by refrigerating it for slightly less time or letting it sit out for five minutes before rolling It out. I also think if you roll It thinner it will be less likely to crack. You could also make it poptart style.

short crust pastry is difficult to handle, you need to cool it thoroughly and rest it in between the rolling and the filling and the shaping for it to look perfect. In my opinion - a few cracks and spills only make it feel more homey and delicious!

Looks tasty! Pro tip* Pull the dough from the cooler to soften a bit, roughly 20 minutes before rolling out. Excess kneading will cause gluten development, and result in a tougher product.

Add a little more moisture to your crust. And let the crust warm to room temp. Depending where you live and the weather is how much moisture you need in the crust. I'm family/friend famous for my pie crust and I have to tweak my moisture a little different in Texas than how I make it in Alaska (we're snowbirds) :)
