I think it would be fun to do a “use it or lose it” week where you take all your products that you like, are kind of lost in the midst of all your other makeup, and use them during the week to create looks and decide whether they are still worth keeping. It might help you to make further decisions to get rid of meh makeup. It’s easy to throw things in a drawer you might use later but if you’re forced to reckon with something, it makes you decide then and there whether it’s worth putting back in the drawer.

I’ll be doing this throughout the month, along with, skincare, hair products, clothes, and shoes. It is very overwhelming, but as I go through ALL of my clothes, I’m realizing that I just need to set a certain amount of time throughout the week and just got to do it! My saint of a husband is helping me with the clothes part on his days off and a little after work. I appreciate him assisting my indecisive self on whether or not to keep certain pieces that I’m really undecided about, as well as helping me with sorting, hanging, folding, dropping off the bags to the donation bins, and whatever else I need. Thankfully we have extra rooms in our house, one which I use to get ready in, and contains all of my makeup, skincare, hair products/tools, half of my clothes, shoes etc. I have way too much and I love to donate to those who need a lot of the stuff more then I do! We are about half way done with it, (clothes part) & I’ve already filled 4 large black Hefty bags, and previously did our little girls clothes and donated 3 of the same bags full of clothes. It feels great to declutter, but even better knowing the clothes, and other things are going to families who are in need ❤️. Can’t wait to see part 2 Rachel!
