So, in the sentiment of not throwing away money..the steamer. If it relaxes you and your skin enjoys it, go for it. But. Pores don't open or close. The steam can help remove the dead skin and gunk and that's why the pores will look smaller, but they don't actually open or close.

For Dibs: I have also always called my hair puffy/poofy and my hair looks a lot like yours, I recently learned that that happens with wavy hair. Once I started treating my hair like it is wavy/curly I no longer get that poofyness and my natural wave is becoming more and more defined. Either way, your hair looks gorgeous and I love seeing you in videos!

Yes! I was a frizzy straight and finally started to embrace wavy hair products and it’s a game changer. You should get Dibs a bunch of wavy hair products and have her shower, condition, scrunch, top of head, overnight, sleep, or wave diffuse. I bet you she’ll realize how curly her hair actually is.

Women have been so conditioned to straighten our hair that I think it’s hard to know what to do when you have wavy or curly. This seems to be slowly changing though which is great coming from a curly girlie.

I think the main issue with the hair wrap leaving dents is that your hair was dry and then sprayed after. When you dry your hair you re seal the peptide bond on the hair strand. So misting will leave an uneven pattern of wetness. The bond on the hair strand is broken with water. So only some of the hair was sprayed down or some areas more then other. And then the wet areas will dry in a more set shape because the bond shapes the hair as it dries. It’s important to towel dry to about 85 precent and is evenly damp all over before you wrap.

Couple of notes about the neck stretcher: One, Rachel, you didn't read the directions haha. You're supposed to have your hands up by your head, which brings the shoulders down and increases the stretch. If you rotate it so the 'fin' in under your neck, that's how you get a deeper stretch and affect different vertebrae. It says that on the little card on the bottom that you removed with the plastic wrap. Two, it don't recommend it for someone with hyper-mobility in their neck. It won't hurt, it just did nothing for me, and my PT gave me a brace that does the same thing, but has secure points on my chin to keep my joints from overextending. I ended up giving mine to my sister and mom. It works well for them!

I think that's a really good idea and I would like to try that. I wear a hoodie to bed and I put my braids up so that they won't be on my neck and I hold them in place with a scrunchie and then I just put the hood over my head and sleep that way because it's cold. But I'm wondering if the satin sleep cap would be better for my hair. I was putting some out in the store that I work in today and I was considering it. I've seen people wear them a lot online and they look very comfortable and very roomy. So you could definitely fit a lot of hair in there. I've seen adults wear them and also children. And all races. I used to think they were just for people with textured hair but I guess they are for anybody who wants to protect their hair when they sleep.😮

Plate type straighteners take FOREVER to get through all of my hair and leave it flat and "lifeless" looking (e.g., no movement, too much shine so my hair looks greasy).
