velf destro lock is amazing. 5% dmg proc for burst windows, the pushback immunity is actually good since destro doesn't fear kicks as much and turrets more than other casters. and the combination of soulburn port sprint with slow immunity, spatial rift, and amped CoE is so much mobility that you can outrun a DH's entire 30+ second meta

My friend just race changed to Void Elf from Human. Pushback is great for heavily focused casters like shadow priest and warlock. The portal has saved my life many times (nobody expects void elves to actually use it). Night elf racial is really good for dropping combat to eat or mount, but the idea people have in their heads that they’ll be able to avoid chaos bolts every fight or something is just not realistic B Tier and above are all more than good enough. I’d even say some are still underrated (panda, mechagnome)

As an elemental shaman, i actually prefer normal dwarf over dark iron dwarf, due to an extra 10% dmg reduction when always being trained, in addition to removing all bleeds and magic effects. Seeing how shamans lack defencive options in the first place, i like being able to have another defencive that can be precast if needed before a stunlock etc

I think it's only 10% physical dmg right? There isn't that much physical dmg in the game which is why it's a terrible defensive.

Arms, fury, mm, bm, outlaw, ww, and feral do the majority of their damage as phys. Using the cleanse portion of Dwarf racial is obviously synergistic with the dam reduction because you're using it defensively. Having to make a usually suboptimal decision between holding fireblood for the cleanse or using it for burst hurts it as both an offensive and defensive cd. Dwarf just gets flat crit anyways so it's not a significant loss to sustained damage.

Love supa and love these videos about racials. I would like to throw out a public service announcement about dark iron dwarves as I have several of them. Please note that your ratio is optimized for classes like feral, shadow and locks. You are really gimped against shadow, priest and locks, because you get penalized with either a fear or damage plus silence when you purge their dots. By the time your silence is over or your fear wears off you only have a few seconds of your racial stat buff left to use so it often does more harm than good. To top it all off your racial shares a 30 second timer with your trinket so if you use it too early before your trinket, you have no Stun break for 30 seconds. It’s still a nice racial but you might want to know these things before putting the effort to unlock them. The dwarf racials are the only racials I know of that can put you in danger if used at the wrong time. Also worth noting that if you dispel an elemental shammy’s flame shock you could get knocked up if they specced into it. On the bright side it helps remove other debuffs and roots like frost nova and hunter’s mark if you’re a rogue trying to get back into stealth.

Cheers for info, have them unlocked just never picked it. Note regarding sharing cd with trinket - will of the forsaken for undead also puts trinket on 30 sec cd I believe and humans will to survive also shares trinket cd. Atleast it's been that way for a while not sure if it's recently changed though.

Well, against aff locks the DMG silence penalty is worth it when u dispel soulrot and haunt. U saved urself 200k+ DMG but got 70k dispel penalty (which u can prewall)

@@chrisk1458 good point. It’s just worth noting that trade off and pre-walling is necessary. And if you’re a caster, you’s lose out on the offensive benefits of the buff due to silence from UA. It’s just a tricky high skill cap racial that requires more game knowledge. Thanks for mentioning this.

Totally forgot about the 10% dmg reduction on regular dwarf racial. For Shamans, id go for regular dwarf to utilize the defensive option over the main stat increase.

Mechagnomes also benefit classes that like to stay in combat, like Outlaw Rogue building stacks since you also get primary stat building up. Probably not good for the other two rogue specs cause they don't stay in combat as long I also really like my Gnome Priest against warriors because sometimes getting rid of the hamstring is the difference between making it around a pillar or not

Goblin is actually really good for blood DK in PvE, haste has a higher value for them and that rocket jump is a bit more mobility (their rocket attack can be handy, too). Thumbs up!

Blood elf paladins can use Arcane Torrent to generate a Holy Power also. I used it a lot for some extra burst when I was getting HPower starved with everything on cooldown to get a 3rd point to use Verdict, I think it’s a burst of energy for rogues too. They make decent Rets for the extra power though, pretty niche use though

I main a Z Troll as Ret and the Bubble plus Regen on the face of all is OP and has saved me a lot of critical situations both in PvP/RBGs and M+ as well. It is a tailor made class for Ret.

Guess by putting orc to B and kul tiran to A is quite sad from someone that play wow for a long time... You should understand the value of couple of more % stun reductions and basicaly 2 on USE trinkets for DPS classes.... With healing and arena lenghts even 5-10% will be major difference in time you are stuned or you can do some... Counting with 2-4 stuns a minute in 5+ min arena on certain classes is huge difference.

1 hidden effect about troll btw is their snare-reduction racial actually fully stacks with the PVP Set bonus from trinkets + the exta 5% from crafted item. Don't know why, might be an oversight. But likely not cuz it also stacked with relent. Just nobody used it since it was trinket or rele

I absolutely hate this aspect of the game. I'm all for racials being disabled in rated pvp. It's complete bs that you either have to re level the same class for multiple different races, p2w character boost them, or p2w racial swap. I already pay enough for this game, last thing I want to have is mandatory pvp racials changing every expansion. They either need to do an overhaul on all the class racials or like I said, remove them from rated pvp.

I view the difference between dark iron and regular dwarf as offense vs defense. Dark Iron can use their dispell to go offensive or defensive if you are a class that can heal because your heals will benefit from the stat bonus. Or you can use it solely for offense as a trinket for the main stat. Regular dwarf if you are being trained and need to dispell the effects on you I think would be better for classes that don't get a benefit from main stat in defense. A hunter or Warlock that is kiting and trying to run away is not going to benefit from the mainstat but would benefit from the 10% damage reduction. Dark Iron gives most classes more flexibility if you want to use it offensively or defensively while regular dwarf is just a defensive ability. I really like the meta where it doesn't feel like human and orc are the only valid options. A lot of races seem really good and might be better or worse depending on your class, play style, and team comps you play in arena.

Dark Iron loses big value when aff lock is good. You go against spriest/aff and you can’t use the racial or you do and flop. And if you line to dispel, and try to run out to make use of the stat gain, it’s a small duration. Best pick is regular dwarf. Removes the same stuff the dark iron racial does and it has a lower CD, and it doubles as a DR.

So, wotf, di dwarf, every man, shadowmeld, etc, and allow players to select whichever one they want. Some races will still be inherently better, but it would even the playing field a lot more. But, that takes away from the incentive to race change which I’m sure blizz makes a good bit on every major meta and class shift.

You can 'meld' a cast: *Just before the cast goes off (to stop it from going off) *While the cast is in the air (e.g. Storm Bolt, Chaos Bolt etc. are flying towards you but hasn't hit you yet) *At the same time as it goes off (e.g. Psychic Scream, Kidney Shot, Leg Sweep; if you 'meld' at the same time you won't get affected!)

I remember in BFA, when Affliction warlock was about stacking several UA on the same target. I would use Dark Soul + Troll racial and pewpew the living shit out of my opponents with near instant cast UAs. Good stuff.

Pvp trinket doesn’t trigger human racial but human racial triggers a 1.5min CD on tthe pvp trinket. Its very powerful imo as you can trinket a blind, fear, etc. Early in the opener to stay offensive And then you still have the human racial for a stun

I think you're underrating maghar a bit, doesn't it stack with trinket set bonus? So anything with poison cc would be reduced. Not amazing but definitely not the worst.
