Getting overtaken by Rick Morris is equivalent of getting passed by Formula Ford royalty! He was making his Royale fly as usual. I really enjoyed the helmet camera and the views it gave us.

Good idea to try to follow Rick Morris as long as you can. You can see his confidence in the left right and over the mountain. This will came in time. Perhaps next time it rains, good full soft on the bars and go out. There was a young driver in karts who was very fast in the dry, but very slow in the wet. Someone told him to practice more in the wet and not be scared to spin or look stupid. Over time he became a master in the wet. His name, Senna. Your starts; Stop Blipping The Throttle! Hold the revs at 5500 and slip the clutch just until it starts to bite, and a bit more aggression when you drop the clutch .... and off you go!

The Vbox didn’t record a thing, I don’t think it likes the vibrations. I do love the helmet cam and I’m glad I had it for every session. I just hope I can get the Vbox working this weekend.

The car is up and running again, I’m testing tomorrow at Donnington. Definitely electrical, so we’ve replaced the coil and changing the distributor.
