Something I like to do when I'm facing Taras or other top tier nuker is I'll use my Armanz to sheep Taras and focus on taking out the supports first. He's just so deadly that I don't like giving him a chance to use his A2/A3. So keep him locked out and away until I have the board cleared so I can focus on him. Also I like bringing in non-Atk nukers (like Ragash) since they can't get crippled by Taras' passive. If I ever bring my wukong he eventually just starts hitting like a wet noodle from having his attack drained so much. That passive is no joke.

Good vid, well worth showing arena team building and play, especially what type of champs pair well together, and what teams are good and bad against those you will likely face in arena. Until I got Ankora/Narses, I avoided Taras like the plague as him and Marishka were just op for anything I had. Now, I seek them out lol. The AI is good for trash teams you run through, but I play a lot of it manually as it's both very often quicker due to opposition team placement and as you pointed out, you learn strengths and weaknesses of both your team(s) and the champs you are facing. Nothing beats hands on experience imo when doing any of the content in the game, which is why my hydra teams do very average scores because I always just throw some champs in and run them on full auto. I'm sure if I manual them, I'd get 3 possibly 4x the amount of points, but time is my restraint with that content. Arena takes me 5-15 mins tops to run through all 25 tokens a day.

Thanks Dharin! I don't have to avoid Marichka any more. Mezomel generally makes that an easy win. But Taras is still tricky for me. I can take him down a fair amount of the time, but certain team comps just keep him alive so long he becomes unmanageable. I'll keep cracking away at it, though.

Always stoked to see areana vids as I am currently stuck between silver 3 and 4. Which is keeping me from my arbiter. I try to utilize any info to push maybe get to silver 4.

100% agree that playing manual in arena helps to understand and how to counter the enemy champions! I'm doing a lot of arena to upgrade my Great Hall so it's been actually funny to learn more, would love to see more videos about Tag Team too

Before I maxed my great hall, I started to spend gems on refreshes to find the easy teams. It didn't seem to impact the rate I accumulated gems, at all, so if you're pressed for time, I highly recommend spending them. Especially if you primarily farm 1 champion teams.

I'm super stingy about my gems. If you clear all 10 battles, the page automatically refreshes anyway. I can't always do it, but I prefer to try that than spend gems on refreshes. I mean, I've done it before when I've had no other choice, of course, but during this video I was fine to not spend. Thanks for the comment!

I have not watched others do classic arena battles. It is interesting that I developed a similar arena approach. I am still working on my great hall, so I am often there just to farm. But I also take on teams I will probably lose to just to see how things go and to learn which kinds of teams I can beat and to figure out strategies to beat those I lose to (sometimes a few time before I succeed or give up). Cool stuff.

Manualing classic arena is great training for 3v3 and live arena. Especially for us F2Pers who don't have the super deep roster to experiment with.

I don't have my Wukong in stone skin. He's in perception. I've seen a few Wukong's in stoneskin. I think the primary benefit is that he's harder to stun or debuff.

loved the video, I'm always in on some arena content. Most of the cc's are in platinum or top level live arena so not as relevant for my progression and it's nice to see you take on the kind of teams I'm going against in arena.

Yeah, I haven't pushed Platinum in years. I got really close like 2 years ago, and then I just started focusing on other content. in the meantime, arena got a LOT harder. I could probably make another plat push if I was really dedicated, but I'm pretty happy playing 3v3 and live arena instead.

I miss my Foli! I had him on my main alt, but I don't have him on my main. And he's a great champ against Wukong. The OG block revive arena nuker. Love it.

When you use your last token it is not necessary to go to your mail box for refills. It will be done automatically when you start another fight.

True. But the game doesn't draw your mailbox tokens in the best way. It will draw your +5 refills before your +10 refills, regardless of the timers. That's why I do it manually.

Hey man, could you drop your deacon build? I'm trying to build a speed team because everyone is always faster than me. I'm nearly at the point of getting Arbiter which will help, but what speeds should I aim for (my gear isn't the best) in order to try and have the first turn? Also don't have Wukong which sucks.

If you're running a Deacon as your speed aura and go-first champion, the more speed the better, but you can't neglect ACC. I would advise putting him in 3x Perception gear. Shoot for 250+ speed and 300+ ACC. Then just avoid Arbiter and Armanz teams. You'll learn who you can pick on. But that could definitely get you solidly into the gold tiers.

I ran into a Lydia, Shy'ek, Fell Hound and Stitch Beast team all in stone skin. It took three iterations to find a team to beat it. BTW, I always thought that Resistance was one of the things that drive the power score. So a high team power score is likely to have a high resistance. I did like the video and its concept, although with your speed team, your Arbiter is so fast, that you beat the other speed teams, so it is really no contest and there is little to figure out.

My Arbiter is extremely fast for low/mid Gold V. But I was on the clock. Maybe in a future video, I'll talk more about how to get into Gold V using a speed lead. I mean, my Arbiter wasn't ALWAYS this fast. 😜

Each tier has its own challenges. I've found Gold 2 and Gold 3 to actually be the toughest tiers. Once you get to Gold 4, it actually gets a little bit easier.
