Nothing better than hiking for a few hours to find some old workings, ruins or an adit or two. Love this type of "living history".

Hey there. I couldn't agree more. I had 3 - 4 hours up my sleeve and I wanted to check out an area that's said to have old mining activity. I wasn't able to find what i wanted this time, but at least i found a possible old road and perhaps part of the hill that was changed, "maybe". I haven't been able to totally discount this path to the workings but ill have to get down to river level and determine if they are accessible from there or not. If i cant get to them from the river, back down the spur i go again. I love getting out there and finding things, even the smallest evidence of something really excites me. Thanks so much for having a look and commenting.

Last week I walked the Razorback North Track to the river and later back to my vehicle in about 30 degrees temperature. No more hiking for me in the foreseeable future. I'll just watch You.

Geez that's a great effort in that temperature. I tend not to try anything in temps over 23 and start at daybreak to avoid any high temps. It's a great effort full stop if you aren't used to it. It's bad enough going up and down the two gullies on the track heading to the walk down, then you have to come back up that rotten thing, all up 7.4 kms of pure "joy". It's great you did that, it really is. Hard to believe it's meant to be fun isn't it?👍

@@HikeingiTuP You know , it was cool on the way in and somewhat enjoyable , except for some scary bits along the ridge. I think the return trip took me an hour , maybe more. I had to stop every 20 or 30 metres - poor fitness but mainly heat - minimal fun. Thank You for encouragement and kind words. OH - the most disappointing part was I be lucky if I saw a single speck of gold. Unfortunately I didn't pay attention to the 1 kilometre walk downstream to the diggings. I went maybe 300 metres and saw no sign so I went back. I won't be having another go. There are much much better and easier ways of getting my gold fix.
