Need For Speed Most Wanted U for the Wii U is, I believe, based on the PC version, if I remember correctly. That is why is was pretty impressive for it’s release.

Besides first person shooters, I feel racing games were the most underdone genre on the Wii U. It's a shame that the only 3D street racing game was NFS Most Wanted 2012. Not a bad game, but I feel the Wii U only had kart racers, 2D/top down, and a few non car related racing games for fans of the genre. Makes it feel like Wii U might be the worst Nintendo platform in terms of racing games available.

Yeah, for the most part, I was really happy with the Wii U. It's library wasn't huge, but considering I don't have unlimited time for games, it mostly got the job done. But I love racing games and that's the one area where for me, the system really came up short.

Never even knew that Hotwheels game existed.. gonna have to get that! Local multiplayer for All Stars Racing is one of the best, love being able to use gamepad so theres 5players So much unlockable content its the love letter to Segas history (in racing form) hahaha I still need to get Most Wanted U (im slacking haha)

Rocking Racing Super Off Road DX is a sequel to Super Off Road which was an arcade and Nintendo game.

Mario Kart Double Dash is better in my opinion. It has more interesting tracks, and having two characters in one car mixes things up. I like the co-op mode where two players can control a character in the same car, and each player has different things they can do.

Hey Nicely enlighted Racing Game Compilation for my favourite system at the very moment I think I do own most of them and recently got that Jetski and Microcar Racer from the E-Shop I had to get my hands on a Formula 1 and Monster Truck Games for the Wii since there never where any releases on the Wii U though I think there's an Xtreme G and F-Zeron original missing at all I wonder why they never continued those good franchises for any further Nintendo console Greetings from Germany

The problem for most wanted 2012 is the name. They used the name of the legendary original most wanted from 2005, for a game that’s nothing like it. It was kinda just a burnout game with cops and licensed cars, and probably would’ve been controversy free if it wasn’t called most wanted.

I'm glad they didn't rebrand Fast Racing Neo as F-Zero. I used to have F-Zero GX, and Nintendo's insistence on putting stupids stories into everything was the first strike against that game. On an unrelated note, the bearded sheep needs to make more appearances.

Everyone praises NFS Most Wanted 2012 on Wii U and I really don't understand why. Even if you have no other way to play this game, it's really frustrating to play. 30 fps, high input lag and lack of analog triggers on the gamepad itself makes it very hard to play. Literally every time I see gameplay of the Wii U version anywhere, it's someone driving very slow, constantly crashing or hitting walls (this video is no exception). And I don't blame the player, it's really that difficult to play on Wii U. It's not about precision of the controls, just low FPS and high input lag. Very hard to play. Just to prove my point, I downloaded the game on PC and all the issues are gone. I really wouldn't bother, even if you don't have another version of the game. Not to mention, lack of DLC support.

There were more and better racing games on the Wii than the GameCube, and Mario Kart Wii was FAR better, being the best selling Mario Kart of all-time. YOU may not have liked Wii racing games, but that is just you. You should change your channel name to "Second-Rate Opinion Games." Obviously the Wii had better and more games of EVERY genre than the Wii U, and that includes racing. The fact that you had to include the dreadful Wipeout games as racing games (spoiler alert: they aren't racing games) is #sad.
